They never disappoint me! I always get the broccoli baker! Any baker is a recommended and the burgers are good but I never go after 10 it gets busy. Bless the workers they work so hard!
Ordered wings and they were absolutely inedible. Biting into this was like chewing on a dogs rawhide treat. Might have well been eating the turkey served on the movie Christmas Vacation. Just horrible. No celery or carrots with the order as ordered and no dipping sauce that was ordered. Do not eat this food. This place should be ashamed of serving food like this and then screwing up the order on top of that.

I would like to say that this is by far the worst experience that i’ve ever experienced. They were sorry, we paid $48 for a gyro meal WHICH WAS NOT THE CORRECT MEAL THEY GAVE US AND two 8piece honey bbq combos. They charged us for extra cups of ranch and didn’t even provide us with the first cup. Hoover Purple Onion is sorry. I will never order from them again. I highly recommend Homewood Purple Onion. I am so disappointed. I literally had to add my own lemon pepper which they CHARGED EXTRA FOR. I am angry and disappointed for all that we paid. THEY ARE SORRY.
Place call to purple onion in Hoover on 4/9/22 around 3:15. Guy said order would be ready in 10mins. I got to restaurant about 10mins or so. It was not a problem that my order was not ready. Staff was ok but not great. I got my food kind of pricey but their prices are their prices. I got my food home and the sandwich was hot and good but the fries were luke warm and crinkle. They usually have a different style of fries. I notice that the owner was not sitting in the front both to observe the operations of the restaurant. Normally a good place to get a good meal but I will check out other options that are comparable to them before I go back.
I liked it ! I liked that their open late! Some people have to work late ! AND GO IN LATE. !! SO IT WAS NICE TO HAVE A PLACE TO GO EAT real food late at night! Good food and friendly service! ?
I have been to this location twice in the past 5 years. Swore I would never go back after the manger was horribly rude to me and my food was inedible. Tonight I watched them treat a woman even worse than I was treated. They screamed at her and she left without the food she ordered. She waited 40 minutes for a cheeseburger. She left without a refund or her food. Horrible restaurant. Horrible people:
Food was good! Felt a little unprofessional for a bit when one of the employees deliberately banged on the bell over and over until one of the other employees yelled stop from the dining area. Besides that, good visit.
I just left I ordered lemon pepper chicken..But the only problem was it was no lemon pepper on my chicken..Chicken had no flavor they were very hard 1 of them was not done.. Purple onion in Hoover use to be good.. Now who ever is running it now just letting it go down hill.. I want be back..& I was over prices 21 dollars for 10 piece & okra
