3 stars at best .Came recommended by friends. I had fried catfish fillet and fried oysters combo. Fish was perfect, but oysters did not seem fresh, were overcooked. My baked potato seemed like it was baked the night before . It was discolored and lukewarm at best. Fried okra was good, server was polite but we didn’t receive water or extra napkins. The worst part- a large party was in private area, but not soundproofed for sure. Birthday party, kids squealing ,probably being antagonized by stupid so called adults. They screamed and squealed for 45 minutes, and you could see the look of misery on everyone’s faces. Not the restaurant’s fault, blame stupid, self centered thoughtless adults for that one .

The servers here are good, down to earth and genuine people. The kind of people you look forward to serving you each time you come. The seafood is cooked consistently well, although I do wish the menu would change more often. I'd recommend sitting out on the patio for a more relaxed experience.

Where do I start, service. We had a party of 14, didn't see the server enough to warrant the mandatory 20% gratuity added to the bill. When our dinner arrived my wife asked for 2 more beers. We finished our dinner (everyone in our party finished their dinner) the 2 beers finally showed up. My wife told the server we didn't need them anymore, everyone is getting ready to leave........ I ordered the shellfish combo platter. The 2 items I selected were shrimp and scallops. The scallops were over cooked, the shrimp was u peeled shrimp (full shell legs on) that was NOT stated on the menu. For the price you pay for the platter, u peel shrimp is something you would expect to find on an all you can eat seafood bar. Also, anyone who had hush puppies included with their dinner, they were either in the fryer to long or the grease in the fryer desperately needed to be changed. Didn't hear anything negative from the other 12 people in our party however, my wife and I were paying for dinner so, I would imagine our guests would reserve judgment just to be polite. I've had bad experiences with other restaurants in the past, but none that would make me write a review (this is the first I've ever written one).

We were seated within 10 minutes, on Saturday afternoon. Our server was awesome, friendly, knowledgeable about the menu; kept our drinks filled. Food was amazing. Their were 4 in our party, all were well pleased with our entrees. The smoked tuna dip was delicious and the hushpuppies were very good. We will definitely be returning.

A few weeks ago I would never have imagined giving this restaurant such a low score. It's been one of my favorites since moving to the Birmingham area 7 years ago. But my last experience with them may have been just my last. My partner and I both ordered the fish and chips, one of our favorites. When the meals arrived, it was clear that the portion of fish on my plate was lacking... by a lot. It was like the last of the fish fry, some of it was very dark and what fish was there was broken and in mostly small pieces. So I waited for my server to check in and I asked I could get a few more pieces of fish. She looked at my palate and clearly recognized the issue. I went about finishing my salad and other side as I anticipated the manager stopping by to speak to us and to get an idea of the issue. Nothing. I waited a while longer and decide to go ahead and eat what fish was there. My server returned and advised that the manager would not ok the additional portion. I was really taken aback. We have eaten at this restaurant very regularly for years. I would never have imagined such a response, and a lack of courtesy from the managers. I'm still a little shocked at this experience. Now was it a bad night, maybe. Is the food good. Oh yeah, it is. But I'm not sure that I'll spend my money at a restaurant that doesn't value it's customers. It was a really unfortunate experience.

It was my first time eating at this location. But my experience was awesome! I loved everything about this place. The atmosphere was relaxing, the food delicious ( have to try the Greek salad ?. It's the best I've ever had thus far). Our waiter was just fantastic. He came to our table like 2 minutes after we were seated and he never stopped checking on us until the moment we left. He just provided great customer service. I would most definitely be back!!!

I was told about the fish market so I took my girlfriend to dinner there for her birthday we ordered appetizers first we got crabcake and alligator bites the crabcake wasn’t fresh it was room temperature it was more batter than crab the alligator bites where room temperature. Then ordered grilled salmon, fried oysters, sweet potato fries, hush puppies, popcorn shrimp, fries, and fried okra. Waited an hr for them to bring me a to go plate with me and my girl food in it talking about sum we out of dishes. So I told him bring me the check taste my food and it’s bland no type of seasoning on nun of the food I’m NEVER COMING BACK!

I drove 30+ minutes to pick up my call-in order only to be disappointed and totally unsatisfied. I spent $70 (tip included) on a crab claw entree and an order of crab claw appetizer. The potato to start was soggy and brownish as if it had been cooked and recooked. The crab claws had a strong, overpowering tangy taste and look like they were boiled and definitely not fresh. Since I hadn’t eaten anything all day I was only able to eat the corn and half of the claws, the rest had to be trashed.

Went to visit this location for a nice outside lunch. Our server, Vincent. (At the BEGINNING of our service he told us his name was VINCENT, but to call him JASON if we had a complaint" )Not sure if the comment was suppose to be funny, but we felt it was Very unprofessional. We ordered drinks and Vincent went to enter our drink orders. When he returned I asked if I could change my drink order and apologized for inconvenience (because I've been a server before). Vincent told me and I quote, "I already put it in, so I don't know what I can do...(hunched his shoulders), what other drink did you want?" So, I was a little taken back by this comment and confused. I asked, "So, are you asking me to pay for a drink that I have not seen and do not want?" He then left the table to see what he could do, and returned to tell us that the owner had taken care of the drink. The service got worse and I HAD to ask for the manager. Kristen, the manager/owner, was very kind to us and apologized for our experience. The food was delicious this visit and our first visit, a few weeks prior. But,we couldn't enjoy our meal properly and thoroughly because of such poor and lazy service we received from our server. We may return in the future or maybe just try the downtown location instead.

Waiters really respectful, food was really good, food takes a bit longer then wanted. Overall PERFECT!
