My mom actually told me we needed to try here because our cat is named Ryu! We were not disappointed at all! The food was delicious and service was lovely. The people in the restaurant were very nice, and our nerdy selves loved the decor and food names. We tried the monkey brain appetizer, ryu roll, ryonosuke (spelling?) Roll, umi roll, Mr. Crab roll, and the Sakura. Everything was extremely well prepared, and the spicy sauce they use was one of my highlights. We definitely recommend it and will be back.
This is definitely a good place for sushi - I had two rolls (Boulder Shoulder and Ryunosuke), as well as edamame, for dinner. The rolls were well made and delicious. I sat at the sushi bar, and the sushi chef, Kevin, and I had a good conversation while I ate. My server was also very nice and attentive. If you're looking for a new place for good sushi, you should definitely try Ryu, and if you like good conversation while enjoying your sushi, sit at the sushi bar!
Staff was friendly, service was just a little slow. Food was mediocre, was not the worst but not the best we have had. The first ten minutes a child ran around the restaurant which made things less than pleasant. We wanted a get a way from taking care of a dementia person, was not very happy with having to deal with a noisy child.
The food and the chef were excellent, prices are a bit more than most but no too bad. The atmosphere was nice. Waitress was amazing as well.
We had hibachi. The onion soup was the best I’ve ever had. Salad and dressing were very good. Salad leaves were fresh and crisp. Crab Rangoon had more and thicker filling than you usually get. It was a pleasant surprise. I had filet and chicken and fiancé had mahi. All were very good. We’d definitely go back. Also all staff were super friendly.
Great little Japanese Steak House! The food was very good. The server and the chef were very attentive. Nice atmosphere and food selection.
Amazing food, fast friendly service, Chef was spectacular.
Howard's service was quick and accommodating, and Kevin's sushi was amazing. Gorgeously plated and incredibly flavorful. We even asked him for a custom roll of his own creation that was beyond perfection!!!! The atmosphere was perfect. The food was outstanding. And I can't say enough about our experience.
This is one of the best sushi and hibachi places I have been to in Alabama, possible in the United States. It is rarely as packed as it deserves to be, which makes for a great atmosphere. The staff are incredibly attentive and kind. Food is always incredibly quick. Super underrated restaurant!
I ordered Sushi deluxe for dinner. Fish was not flesh, rice was too wet and moulded too much. Normally miso soup is served together with any Japanese food but chicken soup was served.
