We went about 3 pm on a Friday. Not busy at all. The outside does show some age and I wondered if the quality inside was a reflection of the outside. Inside was clean and open with the typical decor but it felt larger and more open than others we have been in. We were seated right away. Our server was excellent! Salad and breadsticks came with our meals and we never get tired of those. And no, although the food isn't really "authentic" Italian, it was hot and fresh and deliciously seasoned. The lasagna was meaty and cheesy. We also took advantage of the $6.00 take home entree deal. I also had lasagna leftovers. We also took home orders of tiramasu which was better than anticipated. It was as good as what we have had with "fancy" dining. We would certainly go back again!

The hostess was extremely rude and very unhelpful. Granted it’s Mother’s Day so everyone in the party expected to wait for a table and everyone was completely fine with waiting. We called ahead that morning and were told that we could not make a reservation until one hour before we planned on arriving. We thanked that hostess and planned for everyone to meet up early and for one person to call ahead. When we called one hour before arrival, we were told that they were not taking reservations for parties larger than 14 (we’d been told 15 that morning) and that it would be first come first served. Everyone agreed that would be fine. However once we arrived at the location, the hostess refused to seat our party. We told the hostess we were fine with breaking up into two or three smaller parties as long as we could sit close to each other. We were told that they would not seat more than 4 at a table and we would be at tables across the restaurant and there was no exception. When we asked to speak with a manager, we were told that they were all far too busy and couldn’t help us. This was said without the hostess checking or even walking away from the stand. We left and will not be returning to that location ever again.
Our experience was wonderful and amazing, our server also was friendly and helpful to make our experience good.The food preparation time was good.The only thing that was breaking this experience it’s the female bathroom, which was not clean and seems not been clean thoroughly, you need to work in sanitization guys.
We arrived at 4:30 to eat early and would not seat us until 5 because of staffing. They would not seat us because there were 10 in our party even though I told her we came early to eat early. They did take numerous people in to seat ( more than10) that came in after us. Restaurants need to understand it is the customers that keep the business open and you should accommodate them not your staff. Last time my money will be spent here.
First time eating here and the place was really busy due to it being Mother's Day. I ordered to go and my wait time was over an hour which I was ok with. After receiving a text saying that my order was ready I checked in and waited on curbside to come out. Well no one ever came and I finally decided to go in and pick it up. I get to the register and the waitress tells me it's actually not ready and that they are waiting on breadsticks. After another 20 minutes another waitress walks up to the register and I again ask her about my order and she says yes it's right here. My order had been sitting to the side on the counter the entire time. My lasagna and bread were both cold and my chocolate lasagna that I was so excited to try was missing out of the bag. I go back in to ask for it and it was just something thrown in the box. It looked nothing like the pictures that enticed me to buy it in the first place. No chocolate drizzle no chocolate shavings, nothing. This was not a good first experience for me and I don't care to return.
It was late & near closing in a major area & they treated us like royalty. The food was ready & hot on the dime! Drinks were on point! The atmosphere was relatively & they even incorporated technology into the experience they have an interactive touchpad if you want to call your waiter or put in extra orders. The place was immaculate & the music was nice. I really enjoyed myself! Will definitely come back if in Hoover!
This place has really gone downhill. The food was mediocre at best. I got the chicken and shrimp carbonara and had to ask for salt to give it some flavor. You'd think something so simple would be hard to mess up. The quality has gone way down, and the prices have gone way up. Service was bad. Our server and every server at other tables around us was cold and short with guests even though it wasn't very busy. You could tell they didn't want to be there, and therefore, neither did we.
Great service, love the food. Couldnt finish my lunch but managed to finish the cake...Came back and had the sweetest waitress. Also tried the chocolate lasagna and it was amazing
Yesterday, February 24,2022 I went to pick up a 20 person catering order. I checked in at the bar at 11:15am - the time the order was to be ready for our meeting. Only one young server was attending the bar and one server bring out the to go orders. At 11:45 there were 5 other people who had been waiting in line just to check in & no one at the bar attending. (The one young server wasn’t the “bar tender” and called the “bar tender” to serve any drinks needed.) He was the only one who apologized for the DELAY during my wait. My food came up at the window inside the bar area at 11:45. I still waited. So I went behind the bar to PICK IT UP. IMMEDIATELY. there were at least 5 servers and one official looking angry manager with a register key all pouring into the area. No one apologized except the original one server. No offer to make it up to me. They were all angry pushing past me. Of course I was in the wrong area. Obviously there were servers available but not attending. The restaurant was less than half full. It was. Thursday. Weekends they do lots of business. Think twice about ordering catering from this OG during the week. Costas is on Lorna Road. Very close, check them out if you need catering and have 20 people waiting in a business meeting at your office.
