Love Newks, especially the soups. Me and my husband meet there for lunch a lot and we always get delicious food and I also pick it up curbside sometimes. I absolutely love my friend that usually does curbside order pickup. She is so very sweet and helpful!!
I have visited this location (Hoover)several times and always had good food. Tonight however I tried placing an online order and obviously there have been changes made to that procedure so rather than continue the frustration I just called my order in. I called when I arrived (as requested to do) they brought my order out promptly. Luckily I checked my order and realized there was no silverware or napkins?I went inside and finally found someone to help me. Once at our location I realized the salad I ordered (Newks favorite) was not prepared at all like it is in the Vestavia location. All of the items were mixed together rather than separated. Also there were no artichokes and very little chicken. It tasted good but the salad dressing had already been poured over the salad - not a fan of that and never had it served that way? Please serve the dressing in a cup On the side! All this to say I will continue to come to this location however felt the owner should know about the salad preparation. I realize these are very trying times and difficult to find qualified help. Hoping these few things can get worked out!
Good soup & sandwich combo offers with either 1/2 or a whole sandwich option. Quick service & clean pleasant dining atmosphere. We enjoyed it.
Newk's Eatery Hoover is my favorite. They are very fast, nice, good quality/price and different options to choose. You can also enjoy seating outside and breathe fresh air.
Their chicken salad is the best!
Lady that took order is not friendly at all. Will not smile and seems to have an attitude. Some staff bringing food out barley communicates and does not smile. Servers have long painted nails that are touching food.
Today was my first time visiting and it was good. That Caramel Cake brought back memories from my childhood, it tastes just like cakes my great-aunt used to bake. De-li-cious! I'm going to have to order for a whole one next time.
Sandwich bread wasn't even cooked & was still doughy. Also, my order was supposed to be ready by 1:15pm but I didn't get my food till 1:40pm. I rather eat at the worst rated McDonalds in town than this place.
The food is always good. Consistent with other locations. Staff was super friendly and helpful.
Ordered from Newks.com and this location for the first time tonight...and it will be the last time.We didn't have time to eat before work tonight, so someone suggested Newk's because they deliver. So I got online and created an account and placed an order for 3 employees at work.Delivery is apparently through Door Dash. Deliver was prompt and driver called to let me know when she at the front. No issue with the deliver.We ordered a: soup and salad, soup and bread, and a sandwich and coleslaw.Not received in the order were the bread and the coleslaw. I called the store directly and spoke with a young man who said all he could do was have the food waiting for me to pick up. I told him this no acceptable as we are unable to leave work, which was why we had it delivered in the first place.I then spoke with the female manager. She offered a partial refund for the missing coleslaw, but she said the bread order did not come through. I told her a refund was not acceptable as we still needed food to eat tonight.She suggested a place another delivery order, but would not refund the delivery fee. I informed her that I would not pay for her mistake and have to pay another delivery fee.That was the only resolution she offered, so I got back online while she was on the phone, but delivery was closed. She said sorry, I can't help you then.I asked to speak to the GM or have their number. She refused to give me the GMs name or number. She stated she would give the GM my number and have her call me tonight. Never received a call.I did receive a partial refund, but that still left two employees hungry. We ending up going to Jimmy Johns to complete our orders.As for the food, I can't give a fair review because the customer service was so poor that it impinged my honest review.Will not use this location again.
