It was 4th of July and neither of us wanted to cook. It was not very crowded at 5:30 pm as most people were celebrating at home or friends house's. Our waitress was quick to introduce herself and take our drink order. While perusing the draft beer selections my wife slipped in the appetizer order of Wild West Shrimp. The appetizer and the bread could have been meal in itself. The Wild West Shrimp were good and had a little kick to it because of the peppers. My entrée was the Cowboy chops with a side of Applewood smoked bacon mac & cheese and sautéed mushrooms. My wife ordered the Flo petite filet 6oz well done with a side salad and fries. The petite filet was actually cooked well done. Kudos to the cooks because not everyone understands the meaning of well done. My pork chops were cooked perfectly and a generous portions of mac & cheese and sautéed mushrooms. Even though we were full from dinner our waitress did not ask us if we wanted dessert or suggest anything from the dessert menu. We didn't even get our soda refilled and I was not asked if I wanted another beer. Aside from these two minor things we will be back to try something else from their menu. Hopefully the next server will be more attentive with the drinks and offer dessert options.
We 1st received a very hospitable welcome. The waitt was a little longer than usual but to be expected for Father's Day, But once seated our server did a superb job in making sure that my family and I were taking care of. Also hats off to the chef and Grill master as well as the food Especially the T-bone steak was absolutely perfect. We will definitely be back soon.
The manager at Longhorn in Hoover is very impersonal and disconnected from the customers. I reserved a table on their website and was told that the wait is 40- 50 minutes. Which is fine. When I arrive to check in, before I can even get out that I made a reservation online the manager proceed to tell me that it will be an hour to an hour and 15 minute wait. I then explain that I made reservations online and you dismissed that to repeat the same thing to me. He wasn’t actively listening he was only listening to respond. He told me that online isn’t accurate and this is a busy time. Granted I get that but his dismissive behavior is unacceptable. Since I’m being treated to dinner I stayed, only to not have to wait that long. This man is ruining the atmosphere of this restaurant with his attitude. Longhorn Corporate I suggest that you all invest in leadership training for Mr. Graham. If the customers feel this way I can only imagine what the employees are experiencing. The food and staff were great.
Needed a quick snack. White Cheddar Stuffed Mushrooms. Greeted with a smile and friendly service. Ordered at the to-go stand and I don't believe I waited about 15 minutes. They came out hot and ready to devour.
Waiters and staff are friendly enough, but management is questionable. Waiting time was twice as long as promised, steaks and sides were too salty, and a purposly added extra charge on our bill for an item we did not order makes for a very poor experience. We like the steaks at Longhorn Steakhouse, but not this branch. You're better off going to the one on US-280 in Birmingham.
My steak was just OK. Nothing I could write home about! ? Again, that's certainly does not have any bearing on how good or not good Longhorn is. As you all know, it certainly does depends who is in the kitchen. ?I will continue to go back to this location! ??
Really good. Seating was fast and the service and Cuisine were awesome. I thoroughly enjoyed the Outlaw Ribeye, baked potato & chopped salad. The steak were cooked to perfection, flavorful & a manly cut. The sides were fresh. Nothing was wasted. ? If your looking for a stellar restaurant to gather, you just found it.
The atmosphere is beautiful ( but it’s a new location). Everything was great, however, we choose to sit at the bar to eat. Drinks were served quickly. While we were sitting enjoying our appetizer, the bartender (we know his name but choose not to publicly use it) used his TEETH to pull the tab open on a bottle of wine he was opening right in front of customers!!!! This was the most disgusting incident I have ever seen at a bar. Needless to say, when my ribeye was delivered, it made me question how clean the staff is in the kitchen! This was shocking to say the least! I told a manager before I left who seemed very unconcerned. This location needs a lot of training in customer service. It has a lot of potential IF the staff will learn how to be professional!
Came to Longhorn tonight to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and was met with a ride gentleman host that told me he couldn’t accommodate twelve people. He stated he could only accommodate eight people with a 3-4 hour wait. I was ok with estimated hour and a half wait that we were quoted after splitting the party up but the tone and then to say y’all aren’t to be seated at the same time or in the same section is a little much.
We truly enjoyed our first visit here. Food and service was both outstanding. However this trip was very disappointing. Our server started out with how tired she was from being there all day and her service showed it. Didn't get drink refills and food order not correct for some of us. And the food was nowhere as good as it was the first trip?? Must've had kitchen changes?Very disappointed!
