The waitress was exceptional!!!But the restaurant itself didn't give you very much choice on your meals you couldn't really change them or substitute or make any changes of your own. You had to get what they had on the menu. I didn't like that.And I feel like the prices were a little higher than they needed to be for example one normal sized crab cake was $10.50.Again the waitress was exceptional the restaurant wasn't that great I will not be going back.

The best Cajun food in town. This is the second time we came within a month :) Everything tastes so fresh and flavorful. Love the Seafood Gumbo and Seafood Pasta we had tonight. The sweet potato fries are just right. We strongly recommend this place! Jennette is super! And so is our sever Tavi!
We went today and had the absolute best experience. My husband ordered the Combo B which includes 1/2 pound shrimp 1/2 pound crawfish and 1/2 pound snow crab. He ordered extra corn on the cob. Corn and potatoes came with the meal. We ordered a crab cake and gumbo as appetizers. Then I ordered the pound of shrimp. We also ordered the side of Cajun fries. The service was excellent. Our waiter checked on us continuously. We were very happy with the food and overall experience. The flavor pictured was Cajun sauce with medium level spice.
I really enjoyed myself. I can't say nothing bad about the place. The food was great the waiter was cool and funny. The live DJ was great. I will be back.
I had a great dinner at Crab Du Jour. The staff was friendly and attentive. Everything was clean and looked nice. I loved my crab boil!! The sauce got a bit salty after a while but otherwise it was delicious. Oh and the hush puppies come with a slightly sweet melted butter sauce that just hits the spot. I mean so good!!
Waited a couple days to write this review. Yes, it is questionable since it is at the Galleria mall. Do NOT judge this restaurant because of it's location. Actually very nice on the inside and the food was OUTSTANDING! (Gumbo was meh.) Best place in Birmingham for steamed seafood. It is heavily seasoned with great flavor. Good service too! Definitely a treat and suprise. (Bonus: Wife and I enjoyed 90s R&B station they had playing.)
Today, was my first time going to Crab Du Jour (my daughter requested to go for her 14th Bday after going with her best friend on last month). The food was hot, good and the service was exceptional. It did not take long for us to receive our order. The server (JaCory) was very polite, mannerable and was very sure to make sure we were ok. How could I forget the music... I'm sitting there the entire time just jamming to the music...not knowing that when we got ready to leave and walked up front, they literally have a have a live DJ in here. We will definitely be coming back again. Thank you for a wonderful dinner experience.
I have been to this place many times. Perfect service. Food is amazing. But on 1/15/22 we had the worst service ever. First the food came out wrong and the waitress wrote everything down when she took our order!! When the food came out wrong she questioned us if we were sure we didn't order those things. She never brought the bucket for us to have the proper tools to eat our food. She never brought us refills. My son ordered fries she didn't bring them till we were all done eating. When I asked her for a refill of tea she got smart and said "it has to me made" !! I'm sorry but u don't hire waitresses that gets attitudes when she clearly is in the wrong. Last night was my birthday dinner and it was the worst experience. No one refunded anything or offered extra . I will be finding another place to take my money.
