This was the first time I’ve ever eaten here as many times as I’ve been to Homewood. We had the meatloaf and was the best I’ve ever had along with spinach, peas and a Greek salad. It was so good we ordered plates to go for my parents. The staff was overly friendly! Can’t wait to go back!! It’s definitely a ?

Down home cooking. I had chopped beef steak with gravy and onions, fried green tomatoes, parmesan gritcake, field peas, cornbread, and sweet tea! Yummy. Good sized portions and served up hot and quickly!

Amazing meat and three spot. Had the Greek meatballs with Parmesan grit cakes and collard greens. Delicious and perfectly seasoned.

First visit. Catfish, fried green tomatoes, mac & cheese, field peas. Everything was delicious & served very fast! Mac & cheese and cornbread were favorites. We did go specifically on Monday to get the daily special shown on the internet - fried chicken livers. Very disappointed to discover they were discontinued a while back.

Perfect combination of southern comfort food and Greek/Mediterranean cuisine. I've never had a bad dish there. It's on my top 10 lunch resturants in BHAM

I had a veggie plate, and my fiancé had the Greek chicken…we both LOVED our lunch! Everything was super fresh, and perfectly seasoned! Great service and very friendly staff! Best sweet tea around!

Absolutely delicious lunch. Fried Green Tomatoes were the best I've ever tasted, Mac and cheese was beyond awesome. Wish I lived closer, but so glad we stopped at Johnny's.

This has a wide variety of “comfort food,” meat and threes. You order at the counter and your meal is delivered to your tables a few minutes later. I had to go with the 15 hour cooked pot roast, perfect, delicious. Sides of mashed potatoes and grit cakes were good. My companions had the shrimp, fried green tomatoes and Mac and cheese. We went a little out of our way going through Birmingham and we’re happy we did.

Been coming here for years and one word that comes to mind is consistency. It's consistently great, the food is phenomenal as well as the service. If your looking for the best meat and three or meat and Greek as they say. Look no further than here, they take great pride in what they do and they truly appreciate the customer. Give them a try you will kot regret it.

Within the busy lunch rush we appreciated how the owner and chef himself took time to time by our table to share fun facts about his recipes and local finds. It was obvious he is truly passionate about what he does and the food/ service quality shows!! Thank you for such a great experience.
