Great service, great entree choices, superb bar selections, and classic Americana vibe. Our waiter Nathan was polite and attentive.
We brought a group of 11 people and was seated quickly. The staff was bright and cheerful, and the prices were very reasonable. Everybody at our table loved their did and left full. AAA+ experience.
The food order was wrong for 3 of the 7 in our group. We weren’t ask how we wanted the meat cooked and mine was very undercooked. I sent it back and it was returned with the wrong items on it as well. Another one of our group set their back for it being wrong and was returned a second time wrong. We asked for no pickles and a burger was returned with the same pickle juices hun and a pickle on it. I asked the manager about this and he said he is the one that took off the pickles. I told him it would be helpful to get a fresh bun and not to simply remove pickles. The third time my food was brought to the table it was wrong again. I ask The waitress to take it back and just take it off my ticket. Nobody every asked if they could get any of us anything else. Others commented their food wasn’t great. I would not recommend this place. They also were only a few people on the restaurant and had plenty of time to make this right.
I had the Merica's burger, and I absolutely loved it! The staff were nice, and they even had Cahaba Irish Stout (better than Guinness, in my opinion)! The only reason foi don't give a 5-star reading is because the amount of shrimp provided in the shrimp and grits was not worth the price of the dish. My wife even said the dish was bland and the grits were overcooked.

The food was disappointing. The POW POW shrimp was okay, but is much better at other restaurants. The barbecue chicken nachos were awful. Stale chips, no visible chicken, a sloppy mess. Unreasonably priced for the quality of food. Appetizer quantity was small and not worth it. Sloppy. Waiter and staff were very friendly.
We ordered the small beef nachos and was brought the BBQ nachos instead. The waitress corrected the issue and the nachos were tasty. I wanted to order the chicken pasta but the restaurant was out of chicken. Ended up ordering the turkey melt. It was delicious. My husband ordered shrimp tacos, which he also enjoyed. We north had the sweet potato fries, which we both thoroughly enjoyed.
Some friends and I went to get a bite to eat and watch a bit of the Super Bowl. The bartender told us the buffet was $10 or $20 if we played trivia. We didn't play the trivia. Once we received our table, our waitress handed us raffle tix. We didn't ask for those. Suddenly our bill was $20 each. Gee, thanks...And! When we had to wait 45 minutes for a table, we went to different places at the bar. I sat with one friend who had a beer; I didn't. The other three sat at another part of the bar. Only one had a beer. The other two friends were asked to leave because they weren't drinking. It's a tad cold outside, but sure...they can go comfortably stand by the door and wait. That was ridiculous to force them from sitting at the bar. They each had a drink, but since they weren't drinking alcohol, they had to leave the bar. Come on... ?
Sat for 20 minutes not even greeted. Servers walking around looking at us. Not even a drink order. Will not be back. 2 tables in the section seated. Not busy at all. Shame. The menu and atmosphere looked great. Food can be great. Servers will sink a restaurant. Good luck
The atmosphere is good and I give 4 stars because the waiter was awesome! However the drinks and food were not good. The martinis were juiced down and other drinks I tried were not good at all! My salad had hair in it, the steaks were not worth the money. The spinach artichoke dip was just cream cheese and sour cream but I ate it because it was ok and I didn’t want to complain. At the end of it all I asked for military discount and the waiter said they do take it but charged me full price. I took this as a bought lesson and will never be back. Very dissatisfied!
