This review is mostly for the service. Food is what you'd expect. The service, on the other hand, far exceeded expectations and it was a real pleasure to eat here, a rarity for Waffle House. Being Waffle House, though, I'm sure they burn through staff here, so your experience is likely to vary. I hope for your sake that you get our server.
The food was ok but had issues, and the wait staff was pleasant enough, but if every Waffle House is like this one, I wouldn't bother to stop. The toast for my sandwich was burned slightly around the edges which didn't help the flavor, otherwise it was ok. No shortage of grease with the meal. My biggest problem with this place was the lack of cleanliness. Our table had just been wiped down before we got there (it was still wet), but there was trash from a previous customer still on the table near the wall end of the table. Someone was working on mopping around the cooking area as we were leaving, and the volume of "stuff" being pushed around by the mop nearly made me loose my lunch. It was disgusting! When we arrived, the person who was in charge and told us to take a seat anywhere was sitting or standing beside the cash register eating. Not a very professional look as people are entering the business. I certainly hope that this location isn't a representation of the business as a whole.
i wish zero stars was an option! worst experience i’ve ever had, and i worked in the service industry for years!!! this is the poor excuse for a grilled cheese i received.
Googled for best breakfast in Gulf Shore and this place was #1, boy was google wrong. The server was short on memory, we ordered and then she came back and we had to reorder, got silverware after we got food, had to ask for syrup from another server, got a refill after meal was finished. Not a place I would go back to. Food was good.
Although they were extremely busy they still had time to serve and take time with the customers. Food was served quickly with nice smiling associates. The food was very good.

Good as always! We try to go to Gulf Shores once a year and we always stop at this Waffle House. Always the best service and food at this location
Now we absolutely love waffle house, but this waitress we had Saturday morning was something special. Let's just say we were not impressed, which is strange, because most of the servers go above and beyond. This one though acted as if she was in Oz and zoned out. Our order was messed up, she never asked to refill a drink, and she never brought our ticket. We had to go to the cashier and ask for it. Let's not even mention the bacon was not fit for consumption. Yes mam the bacon was messed up. It was the only bad restaurant experience we had in Gulf Shores and I just couldn't leave it be. Please get your mess together, There aren't many breakfast places locally and people go there for a relaxing breakfast or brunch while they are on vacation. I hope she was just having a bad morning, but please get it together.
Well we ordered 2 all star breakfast 1st 1 waffle delivered asked who’s was it she said my wife’s but it had pecan’s the the rest of the breakfast showed up cold less the waffle. Then after we asked she brought a plain waffle. The waitress was not focused on doing her job. She commented it really doesn’t matter when we payed our bill and I know because we felt like it really didn’t matter
