Last night we ventured out of our own kitchen to give Alabama an economic boost. Yeah, I can buy all my food and bring it here, cook it here and love it. Decided to try the local village lawn food trucks. Specifically, the taco truck. Should have just eaten at the Dollar general, because that’s where all the ingredients were purchased. Tacos, come on, who can’t make a fresh, simple taco. They can’t. The “tacos” were 3 for $15, which is pretty pricey considering where the ingredients were bought. The tortilla was cold and piled with canned chicken, pace salsa, lettuce and onion. Absolutely no flavor. More flavor from my napkin, which I was forced to eat for filler. I ate them under protest, with a side of “nachos” …. Bad choice. The round Tostitos chips were topped with more canned chicken, pace salsa, onion, lettuce, and guess what, nacho liquid. I can’t even call it cheese. To wash this cardboard of a meal down, they served me $3 Dasani water. The dredge of the bottle water companies. I should have bottled some gulf water before I left the beach to bring with me. Skip this place and go to Rouses and make a simple fresh taco for half the price. Your stomach will thank you.
It's a great idea . There isn't much else to eat in the ft Morgan area . I thought it was really expensive especially considering what you get.I paid 15 bucks for a half empty Tortilla that was supposed to be a steak quesidilla . The steak tacos from the Mexican were actually good . The chicken tacos were just bad . The chicken was awful . Canned chicken is better .The best thing I had was actually the beef and lamb gyro . Good portion and tasted great .The alcohol was crazy high also. Seven bucks for a domestic beer is isn't just expensive it's ridiculous.The bugs were awful here as well
Neat concept, but avoid the food trucks. The food is horrible. We were looking for a break from seafood and thought this would be a good alternative. I wish we would have stuck with seafood. My family each had something different from several of the food trucks, and everybody was complaining. A cold sandwhich would have been better than what we got.
The quesadillas at “the spice” truck were AMAZING! The shaved ice and the ice cream at the Frost Bites truck were DELICIOUS as well! This was our second time during the week because everything was so good we went back for more! The first night there was kids trivia and a movie played on the screen when it got dark. This time there was a live band and they were great! We love the atmosphere there! Great place for the kids to run around and play safely! Ring toss, corn hole, chalk, giant checkers, etc!
The atmosphere is nice but the food is horrible and way overpriced. I bought a chicken quesadilla from The Spice that cost $15 that tasted like the equivalent to one of those quesadilla kits from the grocery store with Tostitos Salsa. I also bought a $8 hotdog for my daughter that tasted like water when you bit into it that also ended up making her sick that night. The atmosphere is inviting but do yourself a favor and just drive into Gulf Shores to get something to eat.
The hot dogs and burgers were great! The meat at the Smoke truck was as well! And the quesadillas at the Spice truck were AMAZING! We all had something different and it was all delicious! And Frost Bites is so yummy for dessert too! The shaved ice and ice cream are equally great! All of the people/staff were so wonderful as well. Such a great atmosphere we went back twice during our trip. Kids trivia and movie the first night and a live band the second! A great safe place for the kids to run around and have fun. Ring toss, corn hole, giant checkers and jenga tower, chalk, etc! Highly recommend!
The burger is one of the best I’ve had!!
Would stay there anytime a very nice resort the rooms are great pool was so nice the beach was great just had a great time
We were liked out of our room for an hour. Don’t recommend booking through VRBO
First time staying at The Beach Club. Very clean staff was super nice. Loved that the Tiki Bar was open while we were here. Costal was a fantastic place to eat as well!! Cant wait for next time!
