Food was great and service was great! Excellent waitress/server.
Wonderful food and great service. Lacy was our server. She was wonderful. She had great recommendations on what we should try for lunch and dessert.
It is a have to go place The food is good service was spot on Drinks were very good
We were told a wait time of about an hour but were a party of 2 and were seated in less than 20 minutes. We had the gator bites for an appetizer and that was the highlight of our meal. We shared the ribeye and shrimp for our entree. The steak was way overcooked and not much seasoning, the shrimp and fries were ok. Definitely not worth what we paid. The service was great. I would recommend finding a different place.
First off, food is wonderful. Complaint.....ordered Seafood trio was $30. 4 shrimp, 4 oysters and a piece of Swai fish. Couldn't even allow myself to purchase the plate. Sent it back. Could went to Captain D's and got the same basket for $8.99. Tacky Jacks should be embarrassed! Server was wonderful, not his fault. Company policies have to change. I don't care about Joe's inflation. You can't screw people! $30 seafood trio. The plate is as big as my hand.
It's a "one and done" for us. Food was ok - the seafood is not local. The adult beverages were ok, but it's a bit pricey for what it is. I had a Philly sandwich...nothing remarkable about it. My husband had the shrimp and grits...he said it was good, but not great - he said the green beans were really good though! We feel it's very much a tourist trap. (Gift shop, branded merchandise, over priced common foods)There is a photo booth outside the gift shop and that is pretty fun. $5 for two strips of photos, and we just happen to love the little photo booths - so that's a win for us!They also have live music - and that was really nice...but they also had another source of music playing at the same time so it was a bit confusing! One or the other would have been great...no need for two sources. It is nice that you can sit outdoors and catch a boat or two going through the canal.I wouldn't say don't go...just don't expect too much so you're not let down! If you like it then that's great!
Some of the worst food we’ve ever had in Gulf Shores. Order was wrong, then the grouper was mediocre at best. Sad when the best part of everyone’s meal is the fries.
This was the worst food for the highest price we ate while on vacation. The fish was horribly greasy and thin. We paid nearly $30 each for our meal and left hungry. The gumbo was small and just soup and rice. We will never go back. Our waitress was great and the service was great. Food portions were small and not good.
What a great local favorite! The wait staff is friendly and attentive! The views are so good, the marina was pretty quiet when we were there and we saw a dolphin! The drinks are delicious and so is the seafood. We cannot wait to go back and try something different. This is definitley worth the stop if you’re in the area. And they have 3 locations which is great!
First time at Tacky Jack's and it won't be our last! Food was delicious! Shared the Mexican Garbage nachos...huge proportions! The staff were friendly and helpful. Special kudos to our hostess, Rae, and our server, Gabby. Highly recommend Tacky Jack's!
