My family of four went here for breakfast 7/13/22. We ordered two orders of the Triple Cheese Omelettes and two orders of the Island Benedict’s. The omelets were good but our Island Benedict’s were horrendous. The hollandaise sauce was cold, goopy & had the consistency of pudding. I didn’t say anything at the time because we were traveling throughout the night and we were hungry so we ate them. After thinking about the price we paid for the bad food we were served I messaged Sassy Bass letting them know. I told them I wasn’t looking for any freebies, just wanted to state my opinion. No sorry, no “we’ll do better next time”. I was completely ignored. Pass on this place. They really don’t care.

I have never left a restaurant just as hungry as when I came in. Food was terrible. Pineapple boat had maybe 2 tablespoons of rice with 6 small pieces of shrimp. My husband got Cuban pork. It was dry bbq. Like you can buy at the store precooked. Rice was horrible. No flavor at all. My mother in law did like her steak tips she got. Her meal was $45 with just steak tips and an appetizer of crab cakes. My daughter did like her French fries. Waste of time and money. Now leaving to find something else to eat after spending $75.

great food and great outdoor area!

This was my second time after coming here last June. The last time the kitchen had equipment issues and our meal experience lasted 4 hours. The food was average but the service was fine. Tried it out again a week ago and the place was half empty. It was a bit of a struggle just to get a table and once we did, literally no one would wait on us. Apparently the two servers disagreed as to their table assignments, and we were ignored. Finally, we were waited on and ordered a cheeseburger and a shrimp po boy. My son could not eat the po boy, as it was way too salty. My cheeseburger looked like it came from a warmer and was below average, which is intolerable since it cost $11.50. My advice is to steer clear of The Sassy Bass.

Nicely decorated with attractive outside bar. Unfortunately the food was generally poor. Conch fritters appetizer was overly dense with too much breading. The Cubano sandwich was the worst Cuban I’ve ever had. I order them whenever available. My wife did enjoy the Grouper Ruben and said the iced tea was nice. Neither of us cared for the slaw side. The Curley Fries we’re bland and rubbery. Overall, this was a very disappointing meal. The nearby Kiva Grill would be a much better choice.

Dinner was OK. Nothing special. I had Pecan crusted flounder. The fish was soggy. The dish was served with plain white rice that was undercooked. Won't be going back anytime soon.

Being from the Midwest I am always excited to experience fresh seafood. I ordered the catch of the day, which was grouper. It was so delicious! And we were seated with the best ocean view! It really got our vacation off to a great start!

It was nice this restaurant was right downstairs from our condo. We would have liked to eat outside but it was full. Service was good. I got grilled shrimp in a pineapple boat that was really good!

The SB Island Grill has great food! I love the Grouper Ruben, trust me it is really delicious! The Baked Grouper and White Fish are my favorite! Breakfast and lunch are affordable and really good. You see the ocean/beach and the pools, all of the windows keep the beach vibe going! They have a large patio bar with a roof so that is really nice to dine at or just have adult beverages.

Don't not waste your time here! Food sucks!Came here because it was a beach front restaurant. That's all it has going for it. Had to wait 15 mins to sit just because no one acknowledged us waiting to be seated. Finally got seated and it went down hill from there. Ordered a bloody Mary that was suppose to come with bacon, okra, and other goodies. It didn't come with anything but a poor excuse for a bloody Mary mix. Got the conk fritters and it was like eating a rubber tire! Also tried the twisted taters. That was a let down as well. They had very little sauce and uncooked bacon. Fries seemed like they might have been cooked for one minute maybe. Didn't taste good at all. The whole family got burgers because I was scared to order any kinda sea food from here. McDonald's burgers are better then this places burgers and fries came out under cooked again and coleslaw was very disappointing like everything else here! I would not recommend this place to even my enemies! Stay far far away!
