If you’re looking for good oysters, I recommend trying The Oyster House! My favorite is the Rockefeller Oysters. Also their hush puppies are very good too! It’s also connected to 3-4 gift shops!

We always eat at least one meal here when we come to Gulf Shores & have never been disappointed. This time was no different. We expected a 30 minute wait but it ended up being much shorter. We all ordered something different ranging from the stuffed /florentine shrimp combo to fried flounder and everyone enjoyed their meal. Our server Stephen was super busy with lots of tables and still gave us great service & lots of laughs!

This was our 2nd time to eat here. We ate here a couple of years ago and thought it was average, but we wanted to give it another chance. Again we found that it was pretty average seafood for the Gulf Shores. Waiter was kinda a helicopter drop in type of waiter that only checked in every so often with average friendliness. He seemed to have a large table that took most of his attention. I ordered the Broiled Seafood Lovers platter and my wife ordered the James Ultimate Shrimp platter. Kids both had non seafood dishes: hamburgers and chicken tenders. The shrimp and flounder fish was cooked okay but not especially good presentation and tasted okay. Nothing amazing! The salad bar was a nice option for a side, but you do get charged an extra $3.99 to do that. We both really liked the salad bar and it offered fresh rolls The rolls by the way are great!! We left all saying our visit was just "so so" and average. Also place seems kinda dated and need some freshing on the looks. New carpet there would go along way towards improvement as carpet looks very old.

Our server explained everything we questioned. It was good food but it was hard to enjoy our meal as the temp was soooo cold! It was only in the mid eighties the week we were there.

This place was very highly rated. Honestly, we were all disappointed. They had a good salad bar. The food was average at best. My husband and I got a shrimp platter. The fried shrimp were just okay. They had soaked up too much grease and didn’t have much flavor. I think they were cooked too long. The shrimp scampi was a lot better but needed more salt and garlic. The stuffed shrimp was also better than the fried shrimp but not as flavorful as they should have been. I’m not normally so critical of places, but for the prices you pay you should get better food quality. The service was good though. We did have to wait about an hour for a table and we got there before 5:00. We were eating about 7:00. The little shops around the place were nice.

Eh. That’s about the best description of how we all felt after eating here. We were there 2.5-3 hours and the food just wasn’t worth the wait. Of the nine of us that ate there, no one felt there was anything special about the food. It was average to below average. The prices were good and the service was good. The restaurant was super hot too. I hate to leave anything negative, but we all wished we hadn’t wasted a day of seafood here. Unfortunately, none of us would go back.

Quality has gone downhill. We used to love eating here but the food was not nearly as good as it was a few years ago. The only thing that was really good was the hush puppies. The shrimp in the shrimp poboy were below average and the other dishes we got were not that great. You pay a lot for average food.

This is the best place hands down. The waitstaff was super friendly, helpful and funny. The menu has something for everyone and we tried a little bit of everything. All of it was cooked to perfection and the flavor was awesome. The drinks were the best I have had anywhere. If you have to wait for a table there are plenty of shops to peruse while you wait with your beeper.

Had blacken flounder for dinner. It was excellent. Staff was helpful and professional. We would definitely visit this restaurant again.

This was just ok for us. My husband and I aren't huge seafood fans but we were told this was a must visiting Gulf Shores, and we wanted to try the local cuisine. Our waitress was wonderful, she was very helpful in helping us order. As an app we tried the Oyster Rockefeller, which were good, but I have decided I don't ever have to try oysters again, they are nothing my palate needs. My husband had the shrimp po-boy and he said it was just ok and it needed a sauce of sorts. I tried the Crab Stuffed Flounder. I typically love crab, but this was more of a dressing and was very fishy, the Flounder was good a very mild white fish. The grits had no flavor and the Turnip Greens were definitely NOT for me.
