Do not overlook this place. We stumbled across it because our 1st option was too busy. We sat at the bar and had fantastic service. The Parmesan grouper was SO good and I’m not a seafood person at all. It was our anniversary and we got free pie. Felt very special there.

My family and I will try this place again. The service was amazing! Our waitress Bee did a phenomenal job and we will return because of her service. The food was OK. Nothing to write home about. But I did see other items I would like to try. We went with very safe options- the ones you can’t mess up. I would definitely recommend a lunchtime outing at Gulf Island Grill!

We decided to stop by the "Gulf Island Grill" as our first place to eat in gulf shores upon arrival. Nice view, nice location, outdoor dining. The restaurant was decently clean, the staff was friendly and attentive. Their mixed drinks were pretty tasty and the food was delicious. Try the Yaya! The Gumbo was pretty good also.If I had any complaint, the menus were very used and tattered, it felt gross handling them before dinner and they should be replaced. The parking lot entrance and exit have some steep inclines (Warning your car may scrape entering and exiting the lot even if you do it at an extreme angle)I still gave 5 stars because the food was excellent and staff was very nice as I said above.

First time visit; gumbo was good and the blackened shrimp queso was amazing!!!! Reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was due to our server, he was doing great until the large group of workers came in then he kinda forgot about us as we were there at 11:30 when nobody was there. Was totally fine with him getting their drink and food orders due to their limited time for lunch but he should have stayed on task after that was completed. My suggestion is he just learns from this for the next time??? I definitely will come back when through here again!!!!!

First off, this was our first experience in Gulf Shores ever! Our waitress B was sooo helpful and enthusiastic about their different meal courses. We followed her suggestions and loved it!! Five stars simply isn’t enough! We’ll be sure to come back here next time!

Food was pretty good. The waitresses were great! They were super sweet and made sure that we were well taken care of with whatever we needed! It was very pricey but I would go back because of the atmosphere!

This food would have easily been 5-star for me if there had been A/C inside. Service was alright, but food was PHENOMENAL. Some of the best food we had on our vacation. We tried the Ya-Ya, Grouper Roulade, Baja Catch, and blackened shrimp queso. The BEST thing we ate though were the crab stuffed mushrooms. I could’ve eaten a couple orders of those as my meal honestly. Will definitely eat here again next time we’re in Gulf Shores!!

And the food was devine! First time visiting ... we sat outside, and got waitress we wanted, B, she made the experience the best!! My husband wanted a hamburger, which was not listed on the menu, and she got him all set up the way he likes it. I got the most tender and flavorful ribeye I've had in quite a while, the bonus was the perfectly seasoned potatoes and vegetables, and our son got a shrimp/crawdad pasta, that he almost couldn't eat as the potions were large, you definitely felt full when you left the table. Sweet B(ee) was pleasant, took our order from memory, wrote nothing down, she checked on us often, and even engaged in a small conversation with my husband. This was recommended to us from the Best Western staff, and I highly recommend it to those reading this review. If you get a chance this summer make sure to check in and see B too! You'll be pleasantly pleased with the whole experience!!

B was a great server and has a great attitude and joy to be around. Thank you for your service.

We had dinner here our first night in Gulf Shores and it didn't disappoint. Located within walking distance from our condo they had a lovely outdoor patio we could enjoy the breeze on, with some what of a beach view. My husband and I split our entire meal, just because we weren't crazy hungry and wanted the same thing. The portions were large so it worked out perfectly. We ordered the Crawfish tails as an appetizer, which was so good and the sauce that came with it was incredible. We had the Gulf Island YAYA as our entree, and that definitely was a highlight, probably one of the best things I ate the entire trip. Highly recommend as a stop while visiting Gulf Shores
