When I looked at this restaurant I was thinking a classic dining experience on the river. The size and rustic enviroment took me by surprise, however, the service, the food and the pricing certainly made our evening a success. Watching the ducks from our river side booth added to the overall enjoyment. Excellent food, friendly service and very reasonable pricing all combined for a well enjoyed meal. While this NOT five star, it is a local and very enjoyable place for dinner.

absolutely amazing! fast service for the amount of people dining at 3pm on a Sunday afternoon. Food was hot fresh and plentifully cooked to perfection. The wait person was congenital efficient and very attentive with a truthful smile that was not plastic or forced. prices were higher than expected but quality and quantity made up for price bringing down my statement of higher prices to reflect the value as a bargainI highly recommend this establishment for a true American dining experience. Be sure to take your friend's you can thank me later
My family ate there with friends after my son's high school baseball game. It was kinda late by the time we arrived with our large group, but the found seating for us really quickly. The food was great as always. The pickled onions are the best. I wish I got the name of our waitress because she was amazing. If u like fried catfish this is the place for u. Actually I've never tried anything here that wasn't good. I highly recommend if u are ever in Gadsden.
Great food. Great service. Great environment. This time I had the bone in catfish. Be sure to enjoy the pickled onions with your greens! Be sure to step out back and feed the ducks! There is a machine with food that's 25 cents
My step son always picks here for his birthday and it's always delicious. I love the slaw and onions that arr served with every meal and we always get the greens to go with it. They are so good. Great service and great food. I highly recommend this place for sure.
Great service, terrible food. Top o the river tasted like bottom o river. True story! Loved the ducks! Definitely cool. But someone should certainly call Gordon Ramsey to help them because that’s the vibes I got. And I drove an hour and a half. So disappointing.
Food was excellent! First time eating there but definitely worth it!!The line starts early before 4 pm. We parked with lots and lots of parking spots. We ate abs went back out to leave with a FULL parking lot!Great food!
Always good food and fast service at Top O the River. Great catfish, grilled chicken and greens! We always love the cornbread and cole slaw to start!
