The smell was better than the taste. You can tell they don't care for the customers hearing what they have to say especially when asked if they still have a table they say "yea unfortunately" realize they can be heard by said table and say I was just kidding (and she could've been). Then later on during cleaning seem one move food down and spray with another saying "hey you don't see that misting back on the food" which she still processed to serve. They seem friendly enough and it was almost closing on a graduation night so I'm sure they were busy and tired. Still no excuse but would def like to give them another try when in the area. They could've just had an off night.
First trip … will be back. Despite appearing very busy, we were quickly seated. Server was attentive and offered good suggestions. Opted for burgers based on previous reviews - requested bread over buns, which was a great choice. They were very tasty and filling. Tried variety of sides: okra, onion rings, Mac and cheese and - since a bbq place - Brunswick stew. Everything was hot and tasty. Looking around, rest of meals looked very good with large portions. Thought price was fair for what we received. Will return when in area again.
I grew up in Ohatchee and ate there quite often. Moved to South Carolina back in 07 and was in Alabama for a visit, couldn't resist a plate full of some of the best food you will ever eat!!!
Love this place! The food is always on point, with good barbecue, awesome country sides, and the best old fashioned cheeseburger left around these parts. We drive 40 miles, to eat here at least 2 times a month.
I always like eating at Pruetts. Best pork and beef BBQ around. They have good service. Without being bugged to death.
Lunch was great! One of the best fried chicken I've had. Love the decor too. Especially the bathroom....
Fairly decent food. I don't really care for their BBQ (I've had much much better BBQ) but their daily meat and 2 veg plates are pretty good. I like their meatloaf, chicken w/stuffing, pork roast with gravy, and most of the veggies that I've had. The only problem is dealing with the traffic on Rainbow Drive and the new traffic stupidity curbs the city/state are putting in along the Drive.
The last time we ate here we ordered take out/ to go.The food was good.Nice for a group or big family because it offers a variety of daily specials, entrees, and sides to choose from.Prices have risen pretty significantly .Was disappointed to be told that a call in order could not be picked up at the drive thru window. So inconvenient to go inside just to pick up a to go order. Not worth the effort to scrounge for overcrowded handicapped parking and unload the wheelchair to run inside. for a take away order.Next time I will go next door to the lil pruetts drive thru window and settle for a pulled pork sandwich.
It's fine. I had the open face sandwich. It was ok. It's a very popular place so the seating was cramped for lunch.
First Time and was off the Hook.Love the atmosphere and the Food and that Hickory smell ? ? ? ?
