My wife and I stopped and it wasn't great. Thinking it may have just been a bad day we tried one more time. The two girls behind the counter were more interested in talking about where they were going that night than serving. The food sat in the window for about 5-7 minutes and when it was dropped in front of us we had to call the server back to take it back because it was burnt black. Potato skins are not that hard to cook.

Shrimp basket Thursday was ok...Cobalt last night was good...The Galley, today, was definitely the best!!! Best food, best price, great atmosphere!!! We had the fried fish...FANTASTIC, grilled Red Snapper...FANTASTIC, burger FANTASTIC!!! And the best fried shrimp any of us have had in a long time!!! Highly recommend the Galley!!! You can't go wrong

Decided to try this little place a few months back & been a couple times since. The Onion Rings are the best I've had in a long time. The burgers aren't bad & others in my party said the fish & pizza wasn't bad.It can get pretty busy & like most places it's a bit understaffed. But they do handle it pretty well. They really hustle.Parking isn't great - you just have to chance it..or wait for someone to leave if it's full.I want to give BIG Kudos to Hannah. She is always friendly, upbeat & smiling. She always checks on you & makes sure everything is okay. She is probably, if not the best server I have had in a very long time. Ask for her when you go !!

The fish and chips dish was huge! It must have been the whole side of a fish. It covered the entire plate. The burger was good, and the shrimp poboy was awesome. The french fries and mac-and -cheese need work.If potatoes are fried in new oil, at a high temperature, then the fries come out light golden and crispy. These french fries were not like that which tells me that they were fried in used oil and the temperature was too low. If fries are greasy, then they are fried in old used oil at a low temperature.Suggest they get a dedicated french frier that they can put at a high temperature, buy pre-cut fries, and peanut oil to get golden crispy french fries. The fried shrimp looked great. The burger was moist. The fried cod looked and tasted good. The mac and cheese need yellow cheddar cheese, and not white cheese. It did not taste like mac and cheese. It tasted like macroni with a white unknown cheese and mayo. I did not care for the taste. I reiterate, the french fries need work. The overall food qualify is five star quality. I need to check it again in the future for consistency. But will wait for Fall when it is not too hot to sit on the deck overlooking the water.I gave the service a 4 star because the young lady had equivalent to a frown, not a smile, when informed that 2 more people were coming. Service people should realize that they should ALWAYS greet customers with a SMILE on their face and IN their voice. Expecting 2 more people should widen that smile because that means more sales and more tips. Not more work. You are there to work. Whatever may have upset you, anywhere, needs to be put elsewhere; and, take on the persona of "happiness" with a smile on your face and in your voice.Luckily, after asking her name she gave a slight smile, lightened up, and was nicer throughout the lunch. Suggest all diners ask your server their name, if not wearing a name tag. If wearing a name tag, then use their name. It personalizes the server, makes them feel more friendly, and you get better service.People dining out should remember the experience can be a good one if you act cordial and friendly in responce to a no-so-friendly initial greeting. It takes 2 to tango is true. So, please, do not respond in an unfriendly way to servers/waiters who forget their manners.I was a waitress when in my 20's and am now in my last 70's (79 on 23 June). As we get older, we should have more patience, and tolerance for these younger people and guide them. Not start a fight in a restuatant.

Some locals took us to this little hidden gem on some river I can't recall the name of. Great food, good variety from burgers to salads to sandwiches to seafood. Great service, friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. We got onion rings and cheese sticks for appetizers, both were very good!!!

Wonderful meal, excellent service, friendly ambience. Overall, a top-notch experience. We stopped here for an early dinner. So glad we did!The reviews are right: this place is terrific!I had tonight's special, red snapper, grilled. (See photo.) Delicious! My wife had the burger, and it was the best, big and juicy and perfectly cooked. Our waitress, Abigail, was friendly, prompt, accurate, and attentive without being a pest. We were lucky to get her. And the location, right on the river, is cool. We're coming back. Maybe we'll move to Bon Secour to be closer.

Such a cute place. We chose to eat outside they had corn hole back there also. They were short staffed so the service was a little slow but no biggie for us. Our server Savannah was so sweet and the food was amazing. We loved the smoked tuna dip. We will definitely be back

We like this place. Help is good and friendly.Food is above average. It is hard to pull out of the parking lot because of the dangerous curve it sits on. Take your fastest car to get out of the parking lot without getting creamed on county road 10.

My family of 4 visited this place tonight, on a whim. We hadn't heard of The Galley, but found it on Google when looking for pizza places. The pizza was great for sure, but it became an insignificant part of our experience since *everything* was great. The friendliness of service and quality of food at The Galley are extraordinary. Our server tonight was Savanah, who was the most good-hearted individual and skilled at her work (which she clearly enjoys). The cooks were fantastic and quick! Though, let's note that we wouldn't have complained one bit if we waited longer, since it was so good. Oh, and the sweet tea is SWEET, like it should be! And the best part---those desserts: the bread pudding, the cheesecake, and the cobbler--are all homemade. They. Are. Devine. You gotta eat here.

Order the special. I've been there 3 different times. Always a good meal for a good price. Good service too. We both had shrimp, chicken, and sausage Alfredo.
