My parents are obsessed with this place and their "swamp soup". Honestly, it's super good. The soup looks like they scooped it from a swamp and the taste makes my southern heart happy. The waitresses are always great. Try the frog legs if you're feelin froggy
Good option for seafood when visiting the Foley area. Swamp Soup was a welcome experience. Our group of 7 was seated quickly and the service was excellent.
Fried green tomatoes were outstanding! We had a little bit of everything in the line of seafood, including frog legs. All were delicious! The wait staff was friendly and attentive but not intrusive. The bus help picked up used plates from our table and I appreciated that! A great experience.
In my 3 years of coming down to the shore, I had never tried Fish River Grill. Now that I have, I'm glad I did! The 4.5 (at this time) Google rating doesn't do this place justice. Our server, Tina, was attentive, friendly, and professional. The food was spectacular. The gumbo and grilled whitefish were close to perfection. 5 stars well deserved.
This was the BEST.....hands down ABSOLUTE BEST FOOD!We had appetizer, meal and dessert and will be back. Service was as good as the food. Polly was our waitress and she really catered to us. We are from out of state and already wanna make the trip back just for their beignets! Yum!Plus the alligator, the swamp soup, the catfish and the margarita deserve a mention as well! Haha
The food was amazing! Left the beach and the crowds and decided to give them a try because who wants to wait two hours to eat at the beach! I am so glad we came back to Foley to eat.
Fish River Grill #2 was a good dinner option in Foley. The server was especially nice & interactive. We would likely return.
Gulf Fried Shrimp Plate came with hushpuppies, fries, coleslaw, and a small bowl of "Swamp Soup". It was delicious! The shrimp was excellent! Not overly seasoned like so many places do these days. The fries were a little salty for my taste.Ms. Donna took very good care of our party and recommended a couple of adult beverages for us if we liked. The Dreamsicle was very nice.
Hosted a get together for 16. We were seated in the beautifully decorated room just off the main dining. Allowed us to socialize with out interruption.Great food and great service from Samantha who was our waitress!
This place was an awesome surprise! Food was super tasty... loved the swamp soup! The hush puppies were homemade and the best I have ever had! Our server Polly was super sweet and efficient!
