The food is excellent! So many choices on the menu including all day Breakfast. The daily specials are always good, like the pork chops or fried chicken and the portions are generous. One of my favorite places, including the gift shop that has beautiful merchandise!
Have been here many times, many locations. Homey food. The difference is one individual who makes a difference. I don’t know his name, he’s been there for years. He makes guests smile. You hear from across the room, I think you need to buy that. Huh! Then he tells you a story of his motorcycle accident, how he got back up, his personal attention, friendly words & strength of character, gives everyone a welcome & come back like no other. They need to give him a raise, make him a manager, etc. this is the kind of employee any business would be extremely proud of. Standing when drs said he couldn’t, he exemplifies what good is.
came in with a group of 4 & was sat at the appropriate wait time, when we sat down we waited for a server along with the other two top next to us waiting for a server for at least 30 minutes. I assumed that the older woman next to us got up & told a worker that we haven’t had a server come by yet & they were about to leave then a server stopped them & said “your server will be with you soon.” as a server myself, when i go out to eat i observe the servers to see if they are actually running around doing their job so i just assumed ours was helping someone in the weeds (which i don’t mind it happens.) our server then ran out of the kitchen & i was very surprised because i had never seen this server on the floor since we stepped foot into the restaurant. she then took the peoples food & drink order next to us then ran back to the kitchen to put it in. if i had one of my tables wait that long for me, i would treat my section basically as one large party, that’s what you’re supposed to do if you get seated all at once. we got up went to waffle house instead & we were very satisfied & they completely turned our day around!
We had a party of 6, upon arrival we were told the wait will be 30 minutes. ( I have a screenshot of the text that was sent, saying 35 minutes wait) There were 4 people out front waiting and 8 walking around inside shopping. So 30 minute wait didn’t seem bad at all. I watched numerous parties in groups of 4 and 5 continue to be seated ahead of us. The last straw was a party of 10. They arrived after we had been there over 40 minutes, they were seated. But there wasn’t enough tables to seat 6? Elise very rudely told me they were waiting for people to get up so they could pull two tables together. We watching 30 plus people come out and pay, it was very clear that Elise did not know what she was doing. After a full hour I asked Elise again why large groups were being seated ahead of us. Not to mention the very numerous couples. She stated that the one who told us it would be 30 minutes should have said an hour. Keep in mind I have the text. I watched another party of 5 , a party of 4 then a party of 3 , 2 parties of 2 be seated as I spoke with her. My family and I had been waiting longer than any of these party’s were on the premises. Again she said they were waiting to pull two tables together. At that point we left. I did question a lady that was managing the retail area. She very politely apologized. We have been supporting CB’s all over the south for many years. This morning was beyond disappointing.
I really enjoy eating @ Cracker Barrel... Generally all of their food is pretty good. I love their breakfast, the Pancakes are Awesome, especially the Blueberry ones. Their Meatloaf is really good as well.... I have never had a bad meal there.
Over the Christmas Holliday, my friend wanted to shop there. I was looking around. I began to notice an older lady, an employee was following me. So, I tried a test and quickly moved to another section. there she was. This went on for a while. I put my items back and refuse to spend my money there. She probably does not make in a week what I make in half a day of work.
They were extremely busy, and all of the employees we came across were smiling and asking if we or anyone at surrounding tables needed anything. The food came out quickly and our server was so kind and made sure we were happy. The food was good. This was our first time there in years and we'll be back more often, we were so pleased.
I was craving some Chicken & Dumplings, plus their fried apples the other night!Placed my order online & it was waiting for me when I arrived!I LOVE their Chicken & Dumplings!Closest ones to tasting like my beloved Momma's. She's not with me anymore, but I feel her surround me when I have a big plate of Cracker Barrel's!Thanks for giving me a little taste of my Momma's made from scratch "love". Warms my heart, soul & belly!
One of the better Cracker Barrels in the southeast as far as customer service is concerned. I do have to deduct for the smallest portions I have ever seen at a Cracker Barrel. Due to my travels, I have eaten at dozens of these, and am all too familiar with the portion sizes so know quite well when it has been reduced. That said, the food tastes great and the manager is top notch. Also some incredible waitresses here.My youjgest son specifically requests this location when choosing where to eat breakfast with me. He loves the sausage.
Times have changed, the food is prepared hot but bland and not worth the $$. The service is friendly but sub-par. We have been going to CB for decades but the quality and enjoyment of dining is no longer acceptable.
