1st time we tried Chick & Sea Foods and we will be back the next time we vacation in Foley. We made a very large order right before closing. It was ready when promised. The staff was great! The food was delicious! We ordered Chicken, Shrimp, Grilled chicken salads, Fries and Onion rings. They threw in a bunch of rolls too. We couldn't get over how friendly the staff was! Most places don't appreciate a big order right before closing, but it didn't upset them. They were happy to make it! And we were happy to devour it. Our group of 20 got plenty of food with lots left over as well! Thanks Chick & Sea Foods!
We enjoyed our first visit to Chick and Sea Food! The place was absolutely slammed with lunchtime diners, both inside and at the drive thru ~ now we know why! We had fried chicken and meatloaf, with cornbread, mashed potatoes w/ gravy, turnip greens, and fried okra ~ ALL delicious! Oh, and did I mention the PIES? Yum!! We'll definitely be back ?
Do you find black pepper to be too spicy? Do you like mushy vegetables from a can? Then this place is for you. There was 0 seasoning on the vegetables - I mean not even salt and pepper - and everything was very mushy and nasty. I think if you have a sensitive palate maybe this restaurant would suit you. This was worse than my school lunches as a kid.
Our last experience here wasn't so great. Decided we'd try it again. The chicken is pretty good and I'm not a chicken lover, so just know whatever they're doin it's really worth the time and money
Ms. Cookie was wonderful!! Very pleasant experience with staff. Food was fresh and delicious. Visiting from Atlanta and I would definitely come back. Oysters were my favorite ?
Would recommend lunch buffet. Always fantastic food and quick service. Wish breakfast were served in same manner to speed up wait. It's good to have a menu but in this case you can add few more servers so customer don't have to wait for so long to place an order
I work right next to this place and probably eat here once a day wether it be breakfast or lunch. The way they cook their food reminds me of how grandma used to do it.Love the employees, they are very fast and helpful. I always order in and my food is normal ready within 10 minutes.The breakfast sandwiches are no joke either it's definitely large enough to feed yourself and not some cheap biscuit.Very clean environment as well, always smells nice, and well taken care of.
The fried shrimp and oysters are so good. The fried chicken is amazing! The sweet potato casserole is the best! Great wait staff. A down home place that we will miss when we are back in Michigan.
What a great suggestion from a family members! Food was sooooo good- fried chicken, potatoes, and turnip greens. My sister ordered the fried shrimp, turnips, and peas. The cornbread was so tasty!! Such a great restaurant!!! So unique!!!
Stopped at the Chick and Sea for lunch and it was very good. I ordered chicken and my wife got a shrimp Po'boy. The sandwich had lettuce, tomato, Mayo with Lightly breaded shrimp. It was excellent and cost $9.95. A good deal. I enjoyed the chicken...I will say we had to wait but it was worth the wait. Not sure how fresh the chicken normally is but when it is fresh it is awesome. They also have a meat and three special for lunch. Check their website for meat options. Special is available Monday-Saturday...I believe during lunch only. Would I go here again...Yes. Would I go out of my way to eat here...Yes.
