The food is absolutely amazing!! I had never had BBQ Nachos before and wow!!!!!! The place is so clean and open. The staff were a very friendly group. We placed our order and received everything in a very timely manner. Everyone we saw had a smile on their face. Will definitely be coming back here. Excellent service and excellent food.
Wow.. what a fantastic LARGE plate of barbecue pork… Just the way I love it.. Fried okra was the bomb and the beans were ok.. Sauce was perfect.. Sweet with a little bite to it.. Very clean, simple restaurant and nice atmosphere.. friendly and helpful staff made our visit great enough to definitely come back when I’m visiting from my home in Vegas.. We need a place like this in Vegas.. for real..
The ribs was so good, I didn't need any sauce on the ribs they were that good. The only complaint I have is that it wasn't enough of it for the $20 something I spent on the plate. There was only 5 ribs lol. It was over $30 with doordash but you would think there would have been at least a couple more ribs. But overall I would eat here again. It was very good to me. Thanks
My Family had dinner here tonight. The food was a solid 2 of 10 - it was dry as the Mojave, lacked flavor, and it needed another 90 seconds in the microwave. One side of the ribs were stone cold and the other side warm. When I write cold, I actually mean that that the microwave did not heat it all the way through and it was COLD to the touch. Seriously, they have those nice smokers and they are microwaving refrigerated meat. Thats just disrespectful to the customers.The ribs tasted like they were boiled yesturday because the fat was not rendered and there was zero flavor. They even still had the silver skin in the backside, which is RIBS101. I actually told my wife that I bet with only a few seasonings, I could boil some better ribs. She smiled and said " I could too". The okra was fried in some very old grease, the chicken was dry, and I took one bite of the pulled pork and did everything I could to get it down... it was the worste Ive ever had. The tables were sticky, bathroom was clean. The tea and cole slaw were great. Hard pass on everything else.
I've never been disappointed with Hooks! And now they're open on Sunday! The food is always fresh and delicious and the staff is always very friendly! Highly recommend!
Hook's slaw is my favorite, but after what you said to your employee last night, I will never give you any more of my money.People who can't afford your prices shouldn't come there?? They don't.That young lady was providing above and beyond customer service ON YOUR BEHALF, and you chided her for it!
Amazing smoked bbq!! My two favorites are the loaded baked potato and the camp stew.
Very clean, I do often pickup To Go Orders, I have not ordered anything that has been bad. My favorite is their salad with grilled chicken.
The food is decent and the atmosphere leaves you feeling like it's lacking something. The rocking chairs outside are a very nice element but doesn't make up for the boring menu and lack luster sides and desserts. It's not a bad place to visit and get lunch or dinner but just know not everything they have will have you wanting to come back time after time. In a desire to get some quick Que come here. But if you want great Que look somewhere else. Some adjustments in the kitchen and menu can change that for the better though. Overall it's good but needs a little work. Friendly staff, nice surroundings and decent parking.
First time visit for lunch. Got it to go. Ribs were extremely dry and sides did not taste fresh. Customer service wasn’t very friendly. Didn’t go inside but restaurant didn’t seem too busy. Too many other options in this area to settle for less.
