Food was delicious! Staff was excellent! Food took a while, but the bartender who was waiting on us kept us informed. The manager came and apologized for our wait. Food was worth the wait!
We had a party of 10 and came in pretty late. Everyone was so friendly and nice. Our server was amazing and he was super attentive the whole time. Our drinks were never empty and our table was cleaned off quickly.
Good was delicious and our server was wonderful. When we got there I had to use the restroom as my daughter and I headed there a manager lady nicely said looking for the restroom and then politely directed us in the proper direction. Upon exiting the restroom we headed back to the front where the same manager lady was there and she said I'll take you to your table where my. Mother had already been seated. Very nice that we didn't have to search the entire restraint for her and that the manager was that attentive to us from the moment we walked in her restrarant.
This is probably my fifth visit to Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen In the past two or three months. All of my visits were ordered & paid for via the Cheddar’s app, then picked up at the restaurant. I really wish I could give them at least four stars. Generally speaking, for the price, the food is really good. The wait staff is always very friendly as well. However, after a few different visits, even on slower days and times, I have had to wait in my car for as much as 45 minutes after my scheduled arrival time before receiving my food. And when I’ve had to wait longer, my food was handed to me cold, As if it just sat on the counter the entire time I was waiting.If this improves, I will update my review and maybe add a star.
While the food was good the service not so much. We ate in the bar and the bartender was rude and fell short on providing a good customer experience and likely unaware of how she is perceived by her customers. It is unfortunately the post covid hospitality world we are now living in with restaurants having to take whatever people, at a minimum just show up. Her focus was on fixing an issue behind the bar rather than waiting on her customers. My tipping is based on customer service and at a minimum is 20%, however poor or rude service will negatively affect my tip! Not difficult people just give the same as you would expect!
I always start off ordering the spinach dip and a cold beer or sweet tea. Had a birthday party there a couple years ago. Big groups do fine there. I’ve had date nights there too. It’s casual or dressy. I also love their yeast rolls. And I’ve ordered to go meals there a lot. Service is a little slow but it depends on how busy they are I suppose. They sit you. On the left coming in there’s a bar that you can sit at if you’re waiting on a to go order or want to sit yourself at the bar. It’s a little expensive but the food and atmosphere and location makes up for it. Can park an RV in parking lot close by and walk over there.
Service was great, food - not so much. The honey butter croissants everyone raves about were hard. Steamed broccoli was soggy. At steak and ribs were ok. Monte Cristo had bad grease aftertaste. Fries borderline.Drinks from bar were nice and strong.Nothing special for birthdays other than 'happy birthday'.Waitress was nice and did offer to replace the broccoli with another side.
Chicken fried steak lots of breading cut of steak was okay. Basics are it is cube steak with a lot of breading. Not as tender as it should have been. Meal was good service was good Seems tea is metered refills one per glass. 8oz glass. Appetizers were great had spinach dip and Mozzarella bites were also good. Grilled Chicken Alfredo cheese was thin and runny pasta was fair. Alfredo was missing some flavor. Broccoli was over cooked. Look if you hungry not too thirsty get appetizers. Other main menu items are good but risky and pricey for quality.
Loved the lunch. Nicest part - is was quick. Wish ur employees didn't need face coverings. It takes away from the experience. Masks don't work. Pretending they do just plays into the control. Hard enough to keep excellent help. Demeaning them & their intellect probably won't help you in the long run.
First off Food was great! Second, floor and tables were really dirty- granted I think staffing issues had a lot to do with this but 2 people walked by the same plastic silverware on the ground multiple times and no one picked it up … the waitress was nice but could tell she didn’t want to work. Never received a drink we ordered from the bar. I reaaalllyyy wanted to give more than 1 star but I just couldn’t this time.
