Our experience at DECATUR AL roadhouse WAS different FOR me AND my wife. She said her meal was great,BUT mine, excuse my answer, but my meal sucked. I ordered COUNTRY FRIED steak. The steak was huge and so hard it WAS hard TO cut or eat, that is the crust. THE steak inside, what LITTLE was there, you could hardly chew it. Now the staff was great, and THE waitress was very nice AND helpful. This was my second bad experience at THE SAME location, that time with a prime rib, and then to wy WIFE and grand daughter enjoyed there meal. I will go back TO TEXAS roadhouse and hopefully get a good experience.
Me and my hubby went for dinner and was greeted with kindness and punctuality. The staff was very welcoming and energetic! Our server was Carolyn and she was the absolute best!!!!! The food was awesome too!!! I hope everyone gets the same experience we did!!
They expect people to sit outside in the heat while waiting for a table even though there are benches inside. It’d be better to have a sign posted to wait in the car until the table is ready and remove inside benches if they aren’t supposed to be used. Wait staff hostess needs to advise this fact upon a customer entering the restaurant and quit being rude, use good manners. Is good customer service even taught anymore? We left and did not dine there because of the first impression given.
Covid killed the waiting area so you'll be asked to wait in your car or outside if it's packed. An early lunch/dinner would be the best time to go imo. Every time I had to wait to be seated it was no longer than 30-45 min and I expect that since every table has a handful of people and more. Dining area stays clean including the bathrooms. The mood of the waitresses and bartenders are always elated and bring a good atmosphere to the table/bar. The food is proportional to your plate and sometimes more for the price you pay. Be generous with your tips! The staff, food, and atmosphere always makes for a satisfying dining experience!
We took my wife and daughter there for Mother's Day. We knew they were going to be busy of course. It turns out the wait to be seated was only about 50 minutes, not bad for a holiday and time we went. All of the staff was friendly and courteous. They kept us in drinks and dinner rolls while we waited. The food did take a while, but no more than expected. It all came out cooked accurately, was plentiful, and tasted delicious. It was an overall good experience. We will be returning.
Had an amazing experience at this restaurant. I never usually leave good reviews unless something WOWS me! Wait time was only about 15-20 minutes. We were sat and given rolls immediately while we waited on our server to come to us. Everything we ate was delicious, and every worker was so happy to be there. Every worker had smiles on their faces and enjoyed talking to their guests. Every waiter/waitress around us was working their tails off. Our waiter, Dakota, was very attentive and one of the best waiters I’ve ever witnessed. Thanks for a great dinner! I will definitely be back.
My husband's pork chops came out half cooked. Had to wait for new ones to be cooked. By the time they were done, my food was cold and my son was done eating. Going to dinner means eating as a family not alone. Also, there were 4 employees just congregating around a table talking and laughing. This is very unprofessional. The table they were at didn't get cleaned properly either. It was just wiped down with a dry cloth no spray.The waitress was busting her behind and is a very hard worker. The others should have been given other things to do such as clean the men's room and clean the women's room. There was no paper towels in the ladies room nor did the hand dryer work. If those who want to stand around and be on their phones, should be sent home or let go as it was obviously, they weren't interested in working.
My family and I just ate there. We got seated right away but we had to ask for rolls twice and didn’t get any until right before our food was served. My kids 6 and 9 kept complaining they were hungry and asking for rolls. My son never got a drink refill either. We have had good experiences in the past and that’s when they were busy. They were not busy this evening. Kimberly was our waitress and I can assure you she doesn’t care about anything but dressing up for tips because she BARELY came to check on us and after asking for rolls twice (rolls that normally are brought to you once you get there and we had been there almost a half an hour at this point) she didn’t say anything but throw down the basket on our table and walk away. Will not go back for a good while and I can assure you if we ever get seated at one of her tables we will get a new waitress!
We have been here for 2 hours and still have not been given a seat after being told 30 mins. I understand you’re busy, but when asked about how much longer we could expect, your hostess laughed in our face. Extremely rude and unprofessional.
