Wife and I took the grand kids there .it was the only place that I could all 3 to agree on. I will admit I enjoyed the food also. I always get the breakfast food when I go. It's nice for a change. They were short staffed as all seem to be but the waitress did her best to handle everyone. The wait wasn't bad, food was good and had a bunch of children takling so it was a great night .
Food was excellent but the AC was either broken or they can't vent out the heat from the kitchen because we were sweating eating our Swedish crapes.
The place was packed at lunch. The waitresses were scrambling and doing a great job keeping up. The place was packed because they have excellent cooks! The food was great and they got out it fast.
I had a rocky start when I arrived. I was not promptly greeted. But once I got to my table and my server took over my service changed for the better. My server was Ashley. She was polite, friendly, professional and attentive. She did a wonderful job.
Ashley saved the day! Excellent service! She made sure our food was properly cooked and served promptly. My friend and I love to come to I-Hop in Decatur AL during Ashley’s shift.
I've been to many IHOPs but this one in Decatur while traveling through Alabama was by far the best! I thought we might have to wait a while to sit because it looked packed but we seated immediately. Then I figured it might take a half hour to get our food like other IHOPs I've been to but the food came out in literally 3 mins of ordering. I got the fresh blueberry French toast and maybe it's because I haven't had it in while but it was the best french toast I've ever had in a long time! Wish the IHOP in my town was as good and fast! I would go there alot more if it was!

This was our (my wife and I plus two Friends) visit and I was very impressed by the quality of our total experience. Even with some staff shortages the service was very good and the breakfast was great. We most definitely will return.
I have to atleast put 1 star, but if i could it would be negative stars. everytime we’ve went, we NEVER get seated. we got there 45 minutes before closing time, and we were told we could not be seated. however, there was a group walk in right before us who argued and got seated anyway.
