This place is incredible!! The people, the food... The food actually has flavor... And boys is it over the top! Great variety of dishes... I had the Korean BBQ.
A little refinement in Daphne, Al. We had drinks and an appetizer. I had the Blush Monk, my son had the Berry Mule and we shared the Artichoke and Crawfish dip. All was wonderful!
Pleasant upper class dining experience without the social stressors. I keep visiting to try the unique menu selections which change over time. I'm always impressed by how knowledgeable staff is with the menu. The bartender makes a mean old fashioned. ☆☆☆☆☆
Southwood has always been a crowd pleaser. I have been here many times and am always impressed. We went with a group from work and ordered a few apps first. We got the pimento cheese and pork skins along with the wing chops. Both were good but pretty basic. For dinner I had the Durham Ranch Elk Tenderloin with a green garlic chimichurri, black garlic lacquer, shiitake spinach risotto. It was fantastic. My wife got the Mahi topped with crab meat, lemon caper buerre Blanc, manchago smashed califlower with grilled baby summer squash. She really enjoyed her meal and said the Mahi was cooked perfectly. This is a special place to go and always look forward to a visit. This is also a great place for a nice lunch.
Probably the best fine dining restaurant I’ve had in a while and I’m a bit of a foodie. I never tried duck before this restaurant and my boyfriend had the Duck Confit dish and it was excellent. Everything was cooked to perfection. I also recommend the Crème Brûlée cheesecake, it’s to die for.
One of the most delightful and delicious dinners in the area. Started with 5 onion soup bisque that made my eyes roll to the back of my head and an ever so rare "oh!" Escape my lips. Then on to the main course of Amberjack. That once again made me making noises that usually don't escape my lips. Our waiter was attentive and full of great advice. Actually knew what was on the menu, understood the difference in fish. Knew wine pairing beer pairing and how to give us a great experience. This is one of those places that are worth spending the time and money on. 6 stars if it were aloud.
Excellent food and service! Highly recommend! Everything was great, and we will definitely return!
Great atmosphere , awesome food & best waiter around Jason Culbert.
Staff is awesome. Ariel was a fabulous waitress, sweet and knowledgeable. Food is gourmet high class wonderful. Had the steak ribeye and elk, amazing. My sister recommended this place and she was right on. Secret gem of a restaurant.
I’ve eaten at every fine dining restaurant in Baldwin County and Mobile County and this place has the best food. I’ve eaten here more than a dozen times and the elk tenderloin and the duck done two ways have been my favorites. The menu changes from day to day but when they have the Carpet Bagger Filet with lump crab meat on top it does not disappoint. Any steak they purchase from Snake River Farms is outstanding. Much respect to a restaurant that tells you what farms they purchase meat from. I like their sides too. Every risotto dish I’ve been served here is delicious. Whoever makes their sauces in that kitchen is talented. I believe the owner use to be the head chef at Jesse’s which is another outstanding fine dining restaurant. All the fish dishes are very tasty. The soups are excellent and I love the pork belly watermelon appetizer. Service is always spot on. If we are talking taste of food here this restaurant does not take a backseat to anyone in South Alabama or Pensacola.
