Went here with a few co-workers for dinner. My wife ordered a small Gluten Free House Special, it is the small pie that does not cover the plate. I ordered a medium House Special Pizza. I was surprised by the price for a medium but wanted to have some leftovers. When the pizza came out it was huge. So big we needed a stand to put the pizza on so we had room on the table. The size then reflected the price paid. I docked 1 star because the crust was too tough and chewy for my liking. I am one of those weird people that eats large slices with a fork and knife. The knife had a hard time getting through it. Think it's because their knife is dull? Nope, my steak knives at home had the same trouble. Toppings were good and the wait staff were great. We had an enjoyable time here.
Passing through and we wanted sit down restaurant pizza. The image I have attached is of a “clean” plate. The years of knife cuts into the plastic plate adds to the ambiance?The pretzel bites were overpriced and overcooked. My daughter’s kid pizza with olives was delivered without the olives. No apology offered by the server/hostess.Overall, I’d never eat here again as the server hardly came by and the overpriced food under delivered.
The food was hot, fresh and delicious. Our server, Abigale was very sweet and attentive. The hostess, however, was just snotty. We walked in and I greeted her, she said nothing. She just stared, and finally asked how many. She took us to the table and hollered across to someone that she sat them. I guess she told the wrong person cause we sat there for a good 13 or 15 minutes just waiting to be seen (it wasn't busy). Finally, Abigale noticed us and went and talked to the other servers. I'm assuming there was some confusion on who was supposed to take the table. No thanks to the rude hostess. When we left there was a different, much nicer girl (a blonde haired girl) at the hostess stand. Hopefully they just keep her there from now on cause that other girl was awful.
We were at the car show near by and love Mellow Mushroom pizza. We ordered our favorite one and when it came the crust was overdone to the point I couldn’t chew it. The waitress was sympathetic and asked if we wanted a new one but we just said no thank you. They took 5$ off.
Last time we ate here it was disappointing. This time was pretty good. Waiter was attentive, food was good, we left happy. Nice job mellow mushroom.
A couple sitting near me asked for a "go box" to take their leftover pizza. The waiter got a empty pizza box for them then walked away. The man opened the empty box to put his leftover pizza in it and there was a live roach in the box.When the waiter returned, the man told him about the roach and the waiter just said, like it was no big deal, I'll get you another box.A roach is bad enough, being unsuprised, is even worse!Makes you wonder, just how infested with roaches is that place, if the waiter acted as if it was common place to find a roach?Enjoy your pizza! I'LL NEVER BE BACK.
Hummus was taken off the menu, which is the whole reason we went there. Got stuffed meatballs just to find out they are not stuffed. They are sliced with a slice of mozzarella between them then put back together and covered with sauce and parmesan. They we're also freezedried frozen meatballs ?. Ordered a jack and coke which was made with flat coke and watered down. I've had great experiences here, but this was definitely not one of them..
Sundays are very busy here. Several large birthday parties. It wasn't very noisy even at that. The Italian and the California club were both tasty. The Italian sub/sandwich (whole) is ridiculously stuffed with meats and cheese --ridiculous in a good way! Service was good too.
Great server. Food was fabulous. Prices are steep but great atmosphere.
Pizza was very good and so were the calzones. We were just passing through and picked up the order using curbside to take back to our room.
