This is one of my favorite places to eat at in the Birmingham area. It is a very interesting fusion of Spanish and Asian food. The 420 nachos are very delicious and filling. I order them almost every time I go to this location. I have been to the 280 location as well, and they are both equally fantastic. There are several different options on the menu, so I'm sure anyone can find something that they like. I would highly recommend this place to anyone if you love sushi and want to try something new.
Been ages since I have eaten at Wasabi Juan in Avondale, until they moved downtown. I stopped there yesterday, still the coolest place time eat, I had the South Beach Burrito with steak since they're out of my usual favorite, the Blazer Burrito with grilled chicken. They never missed a beat on the burrito, so good, I gobbled it up. Definitely will be back for those burritos. Picture below..
Once a year I travel 10 hours to enjoy Wasabi Juan's!! You honestly can't find a better fusion of your favorite 2 things together!! Every single thing I have had from them since they first opened in Avondale has exceeded my expectations and has satiated my craving!! I wish they would have something this amazing in NWA but alas I will travel 10 hours once a year to enjoy this amazing fusion of my favorite sushi wrapped into a burrito!!?
Hmm… not the wow kind of food, nor too bad either. Decent food. More of fusion food. Tried one of their cooked burritos; came with nice little chips and salsa. Portion size was decent too. But I am not sure if I want to go back again and try something from their menu again.Btw, they don’t have a lot of vegetarian options ( besides hippie nachos) but they I think they’ll substitute the protein with veggie of your choice.Parking could be a challenge at this location.
Do you like sushi but feel like you never get enough to satisfy the intense craving you have? Well look no further. Think an egg roll the size of a burrito. But filled with rice, sushi and all kinds of other goodies. If copious amounts of sushi aren't your thing, they also have some bangin street tacos and loaded sushi nachos. Fantastic family friendly atmosphere with genuinely happy staff and the prices aren't bad for the portion sizes you get. Expect to spend around $15/person.
Deliciously unique food.Amazing flavors! Casual atmosphere. Good for a quick bite with friends or colleagues.4/5 The taco shells were a little stale (but still a treat to eat.)
Had the hippy burrito ? it was delicious.. wish they had more no meat options.. it's hard to find vegan food in and near Birmingham.. but I will be back often
Awesome Foods. We loved it!!!! First time eating here and we didn’t have any regrets lime we did yesterday at two other places we went. Thank you so much Wasabi Juan for making this a great experience!!!!
My husband and I get Wasabi Juan’s almost every week. We love the 420 nachos, LHM roll, Destin Roll, and Rick Roll. Always so yummy and a nice staff!
Yesssss I’ve been waiting for something like this my whole life! We started with the 4:20 nachos and I’ve never had anything quite like them. Although the chips are Doritos lol. The flavors combined so well on my tongue. I had the ignition raw burrito and my boyfriend had the Austin burrito w/ chips and salsa. You definitely gotta go. They have Keto and vegetarian options too. I love the concept and it made sushi exciting again.
