So disappointing! I was really looking forward to trying this place out, and I was so sad by the end result. I ordered a chicken tender platter, fried green tomatoes appetizer, and a Peach Lemonade. The peach lemonade was great which made me super excited for the meal to come out. Sadly the wait was over 35 minutes, and when my food came out it was very disappointing. The Fried Green Tomatoes were cold and had very little flavor. The chicken tender platter was also an enigma. 2 of the chicken tenders looked completely fine, but the other looked as if it had no breading or was something else entirely. The fries were hot but not very flavorful. The overall experience had me not wanting to ever go back or recommend this place. For $40, there are much better places to go with vegan options

First of all their fries are BOMB!!!!!!!!! Unique texture but what fries are meant to be!!!!!!! Beats brand name fast food fries... The tenders were HUGE, juicy, soft, well... tender. What you'd want from any animal product tender but WITHOUT that weird smell that comes with chicken meat. Taste so meaty and clean at the same time. This was my first time visiting Birmingham but if I return I will definitely revisit them. Shakes are ehh but better than most dairy shakes to be honest.
Let me start off by saying this is the BEST Vegan spot I've ever tried. The food was so fulfilling. OMG that Philly cheesesteak is a must get. I went back a second time with family and got the bbq wings, milkshake when I tell you the food is AMAZING. The staff and the vibe in the restaurant is also amazing. I wish nothing but blessing to the Underground Vegan... Many God bless you with many more locations.
When I tell u the absolute best vegan food I’ve had, I mean every word! From the Philly to the fries perfectly cooked, seasoned perfectly, special sauce omg! Love this place!
Great restaurant! I love coming here. Only dilemma is the hours are inconvenient for us people who work 7a-7p. I never get the chance to come here because of that reason but the times that I have been the food is always great! Hopefully hours will not be permanently like this for long.
So, I was intrigued by all the pictures being posted.... My husband and I have never ever tried anything vegan.... OMG!!!! THE PICTURES don't do the taste justice!! Pictures brought us in... Taste will keep us coming back! It was Fantastic??????
