My husband and I stopped by here at the beginning of March 2022 and had the best service and food. I have several food allergies and our server and the chef were so accommodating!I stopped by for a late lunch today and unfortunately I had pretty bad service. I explained my allergies (and daughters) and when ordering confirmed they were okay but it turns out they were not. I did not receive things I ordered and they were not allergy friendly. The main dish that came out is not what I ordered. Not sure what was going on but I did not eat much. The tempura Brussels were fantastic again though and my daughters boyfriend loved all the food.So disappointed in our service though.
Umami means savory-and that's exactly what I was in the mood for- something savory.While navigating the Lakeview district, my coworker recognized this snazzy establishment. We decided to give it a try. By-golly-gosh!!! The upscale Asian atmosphere, food, and service were exceptional. They specialize is sushi but also serve other meals.You will not be disappointed.
Was hoping it was on par with the former Babalu and it did not disappoint! Went on a Saturday and sat at the bar when they were still serving brunch. Mimosas were great, they give you fresh squeezed juice on the side so you can mix to your preference. Gyoza and ramen were so flavorful & complex. And the bone marrow burger with duck fat fries was easily the best restaurant burger I've ever had. We only had one sushi roll, but it was wonderful, so we'll definitely be returning to try more
We are driving through on the way to Montgomery but stopped by because this place caught our eye.\\n\\nHoly cow. The food here is phenomenal. It is probably the best sushi I've ever had (the last call roll). The Bali's Baller brunch is to die for. The mimosas are priced nicely. We actually stopped by for our friend's son's birthday and had Andy as our waiter and honestly, Andy is an amazing waiter and among the best I've had. He was very attentive, kind and made the kids birthday special with some amazing deep fried cheesecake and he even got the live singer to sing along for \\\"happy birthday\\\". 10/10 experience here. Thank you Andy! Hope yall can make a restaurant happen in Huntsville.
Best sushi in Birmingham! Friendly and knowledgeable staff, table visits from Manager and Owner… rare today in our Covid world. Fresh sushi, top notch quality and as good as it gets especially in the area! Thank you for the memorable experience, can’t wait to go back!
The service here was great! Riley was our server and did a fantastic job. The food was okay. We were here for $10 sushi night, which was nice. The sushi was good. The tempura Brussel sprouts and other appetizer didn't taste like much of anything. My friend had a burger that she reported as delicious. She did have to send it back initially as it wasn't cooked to her desired temperature. The fries that came with the burger weren't bland like the tempura appetizers. Overall, the restaurant was nice and the food acceptable. This place isn't Babalu's but it isn't a terrible addition. Also, thanks Riley for being fun!
The food an service is great. The owner truly does care about making sure you have a great experience. My advice: Try them on a Sunday. Get you a screwdriver oe mimosa and get the dumplings and some $10 sushi. You won't regret it.
