you will not find better italian food in Birmingham. there are some fantastic competitors, but this is consistently the best trattoria in the area. on top of the quality, the food is VERY fairly priced. they have different specials every day of the week and they are always excellent, even things i normally wouldn't order. oh, and their Sicilian slices are always very tasty if you are in the mood for some pizza! can't go wrong with anything on the menu here!

Nice place in downtown. Liked the two slice pizza with the side of salad. Pasta is a hit or miss. One time I had the best pasta, other it was below average (portion and taste).

Do not ever believe what they tell you on the phone Thing change all the the time. Call twice to see if it would ok for a party of six at 545 on a Saturday night said it would be ok but don’t take reservations. However they don’t tell you. That they reverse it for a wedding. Would never go there again. Food is not that good and the management is terrible. Go to a good Italian restaurant with good service and management.

Everything here is fantastic! We go here regularly and I’ve never been disappointed. We love their pizza, French toast and bacon — everything is good!

Lovely place. Wonderful food. Everything we ordered was top notch and I can't wait to go back and try new things. All staff we experienced were pleasant. My husband commented that it was like a "well oiled machine." I love how they function and that tips are built in to the price. I just wished the space was bigger to accommodate more people and to give a little more space between tables. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend everyone try their brunch!

I would happily rate this place five stars and I would happily tip 20 percent. I always do with good, not even great, service. First off let me say their food is great. I have had pizza in Rome that was better, but here in the states for Italian style pizza, this place is truly my favorite.Today I politely requested two non end pieces with a salad and some water. I waited nearly 30 minutes for pizza that was already made and a salad that just has a bit of balsamic and salt/pepper. The place wasn't full by any means but it was about 1 PM so it was about half full. I also received one piece like I requested and one end piece.I have always been a bit taken aback by how aggressive of hipsters this place hires. It may be good for business with the hipster crowd. I just wish they didn't act as carefree like work is a social event rather than work. Hey, I get it--it's a pandemic (everyone was wearing masks which is good) and we are just lucky to have a nonrobot making food I guess. When you wait 30 minutes and your order isn't right and you have to walk through a construction zone to go to the bathroom, I'll knock a star off.Yeah, I am coming from Los Angeles and may expect more than Bham can offer, but please improve the service, because the food is so great for Birmingham (and anywhere in the US for the pizza). The crust if it is not an end piece that sometimes (including today) gets burned, I would even say is the best crust I've ever had, counting Rome. Rome to me had fresher cheese and tomatoes. The crust here is amazing! Everyone deserves a living wage, yet please act like it's a job. We all have jobs and it's not carefree social hour.

I love it so much. Food is outstanding. Cool, clean, modern atmosphere. Only thing that throws me off about this place is when the pizza is sitting out, cut up, and waiting to be served, but for some reason it takes literally 30 minutes for them to bring it to you

Amazing. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Birmingham. The freshest, hand-made pastas with wonderful ingredients, to the Roman style pizza, daily soups, and crave-able desserts will keep you coming back for more! The service is top notch too. Love their delivery option. Perfect every order! *get the daily special! *daily soups are a MUST! Ragu is insane.... Cacio Pepe.... Heck, it's all fantastic!

The food here is ok, good but not great. Had the 2 slice combo with mixed green salad. The food was a pretty decent deal but the taste didn't swr itself apart. Not sure I would recommend this to anybody but i wouldn't deter anyone also. Seems like a middle-of-the-road option.

First time experience alert! I enjoyed the curry lentil soup with fresh salad and rosemary bread. Definitely DELICIOUS. Can't wait to try additional items on the menu. #TEAMSMILEY
