The place was not busy, but the service was very slow. The chicken was dry, to the point that I could not eat the breast. The server just said ok when I told her about it. The decor is terrific, and this place could flourish with good management. The cheesecake crust was raw and barely edible. Go to the other alternatives in the area and skip this place. They do have an extensive beer list, but the customer service is not worth the beer!
Best pineapple mojito I've ever had.. The bartender Alonza provided great service and the food was great too. Great spot. I'll be back.
Grilled chicken sandwich that had a type of bbq sauce and coleslaw on it. It also came with fries. The meal was good. The fries really good. I also had a drink called Mermaid’s water. My friend had one as well but they did not make hers the same. Mine you could taste the pineapple and barely taste the alcohol(which I prefer) and hers you couldn’t taste pineapple and it was heavier on alcohol.Still an overall good meal. It did take her a minute to get her drink, she ordered after mine. We got there pretty early on a Friday while events were going on. Probably around 4/4:30pm or so and it wasn’t crowded. We were there about an hour or so. People started to come in after 5pm.I am not sure if this would be considered a traditional English pub but it was a good experience overall.
Great food, beautiful venue, definitely busy on the weekends.
Our waiter was nice and did a good job. The online menu is not the same as what they offer. The pulled pork was cold and tasted terrible. Only 2 waiters for the whole restaurant so be prepared to wait. Thankfully we got in and out early.
unprofessional staff, mediocre menu, bland atmosphere. it's ok, but I expected so much more considering the area, and the price.
No exaggeration, waited exactly 90 minutes for dinner after ordering. Server never came over to refill waters or my friend’s beer. He was sitting down at his girlfriend’s table while we were sitting ducks with no explanation. Luckily he was friendly with a smile at the few times we interacted with him but even still I’m a server myself and so I was totally taken aback at the terrible service especially at a celebrity chef’s restaurant. And the menu was tiny and as basic as it gets, not at all like the menu advertised online. Thankfully I was with good company to pass the time.
Waited for 20 minutes and were never acknowledged. Once we finally found someone who worked there, we were told it would be a very long wait and weren't given a wait time. We were told it's busy and good luck and we're referred to another restaurant down the street. After speaking with several others in the lobby of the hotel, all of whom were from out of town, they recieved the same treatment. Great way to welcome people to Birmingham ?
I have been in Todd English Pub many many times pre Covid in Birmingham and Las Vegas and always had a great meal and experience. This time not so much! We were disappointed in menu options and beer selections. What we did have was decent but not up to our expectations. Hopefully they can get back to being the old Todd E. The only reason I did not give them a 1 star is because of covid challenges.
We had dinner last night after the Birmingham Home Show. We sat at the bar. I had the wedge salad & my hubby had the fish & chips. Both were delicious !!!!! What totally mademoiselle night was our AMAZING bartender Lorenza! He was fun & super friendly. Never missed a beat on a BUSY night! We will DEFINITELY be back. 5 ????? !!!!!
