Stopped in Birmingham relatively spontaneously - to watch a USFL game live, which you are welcome to hold against my life values - and grabbed a sit-down lunch here. Yummy. Quick, friendly service. Would come back ... but probably not around a USFL game. ?
We hosted a rehearsal dinner at Southern Kitchen and Bar last week, and it went fabulously well. Matthew was so helpful in the weeks leading up to the dinner, accommodating special (vegan) requests and arranging everything just like we wanted. The bartender, chef, and everyone did outstanding work, and the food was excellent. The space worked really well on a windy but nice spring night--private and spacious with great views and lighting. We couldn't have made a better choice.

Busy Saturday night. We had to wait for an hour. I received the text to make our way to the hostess table. I arrived and our table was already given away. The "rude" hostess kept saying I wasn't there between 5-10 minutes of the text. She texted at 5:40. The time was 5:49 when she told me that and I had already been standing there a few minutes. I tried to explain that when I arrived, they were engaged with our customers. She said, "You should have gotten our attention." She wanted me to be rude to others as well I guess. The "nice" hostess did try to solve the issue, although she didn't try too hard.
We had brunch there for my birthday and everything was absolutely delicious. Everybody’s food was great! We had Prosecco champagne and the waiter brought us pineapple juice. The entertainment was awesome!! I will definitely be recommending this restaurant to my brunch group.

The service and food was outstanding! The atmosphere of the restaurant was wonderful, as well. There were specific menu choices to pick from that gave good descriptions of menu items. We will definitely be back!
