This is a hidden gem in the Tutwiler Hampton Inn downtown Birmingham. The sausage stuffed mushrooms were delicious. Sorry I forgot to take a picture, I was hungry. The blackened salmon was perfection, I don't normally say that because I've had it dry or over seasoned before, but this was not to my delight. The staff is so friendly, personable and very engaging. They treat you like family. I absolutely highly recommend this restaurant in your near future, you will not be disappointed.
What a great place. Intimate and friendly! The drinks are great and the food is awesome. The nachos are excellent. I had the pork chop as an entree. It was delicious and the sides of asparagus and mashed potatoes paired excellently. I cannot wait to eat here again. Ask for Olivia. She is a doll and adds to the experience.
Love, love, love everything about the Six Sixteen from the amazing food and drinks to the attractive decor and ambiance to the accommodating and friendly staff. A must do for date nights or a girls night out.
Fantastic take on an Old Fashioned, baller shrimp and grits, and a chicken sandwich with fries made simply perfect.This place does everything very well.I stay at the Tutwiler because of this restaurant.The barstools are rad, the vibe is chill but hip, Leonard mixes up awesome cocktails, and the kitchen kicks out great food.

In Birmingham for a conference and took a chance based on the great reviews. So glad I did.The Six Sixteen had wonderful service with the friendliest family in the restaurant business. There was a large party ahead of my order and Marcus kept checking and kept me updated on my food..And oh my word the food! Blueberry lemontini was light and refreshing, the grilled pork chop was seasoned and cooked perfectly. I will absolutely be back!
We spent the night at the Hilton in Birmingham last night and had dinner here out of timing and convenience. The restaurant is hands down one of the most comfortable environments we’ve dined in. The family owned business is run by Father daughter mother sister etc - the nachos and wings were excellent!! And the nachos were EVENLY layered with toppings, the way they always should be so you don’t have a bowl of plain chips after three bites! Seating was elegant, the entire design of interiors is beautiful. Grateful to have had such a nice evening in the city. We will go back if given the opportunity! Curious why it is named The Six Sixteen though. We forgot to ask!
A great restaurant and bar centrally located. If you are near downtown Birmingham this is a must do. The staff was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. The prices were very competitive with similar restaurants. All in all a great experience.

The 6 Sixteen is an ABSOLUTE MUST for dinner and drinks in Birmingham! The owners, Beverly and Leonard, are amazing people who made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Leonard makes some great drinks and was super friendly! We started out with a flash fried asparagus appetizer, which was out of this world! So good that we ended up ordering another one half way through our main courses. Our main courses were so delicious we devoured it all and then had the best homemade apple pie with ice cream. If you're ever in Birmingham, you definitely need to try this place! This place and its owners are definitely worth more than 5 stars!!
