I love the food I love the great bakers and the gyros and the burgers that place is awesome they're just short staffed so I'll be hard on the workers people don't understand but they work hard to service us with delicious food where can you go have a fresh cooked meal through a drive-thru and your foods fresh to cook I love that place and my coworkers do have a great lunch and experience and we can have enough so yummy
As someone who has known the Purple Onion brand since the early 2000s I was highly disappointed when I ordered food through the drive thru. My hamburger was well undercooked. They gave me a mix of crinkle fries and steak fries. The best thing about this meal was the drink. I was excited to see this chain on the Eastside of Birmingham, but all duplicates are not the same obviously.
Can't review the food because I never got any. Purple onion has always been okay for me in the past, but this was the first time I had ever come to this location. They had a big neon open sign and according to their posted hours should have been open. They didn't even bother answering the intercom or telling me anything when I drove up to the window. The only thing I got was a worker mouthing "sorry" to me. Not sure what the point of this restaurant is if they can't even serve people food at 6 pm on a Saturday.
I really enjoy the food from Purple Onion. Typically get the pita sandwiches with steak/ ribeye. There are lots of great flavors that all come nicely rolled up, the mint is my other favorite!
..ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!! ...OLD & RE-COOKED!! ...MY SHRIMP SO WAS HARD to the point of asking "is it really shrimp"??!! ...our son warned us not to go here but the Southside one is so much farther from us. ...BUT IT IS WORTH THE DRIVE!! ...NEVER AGAIN!!!!
2nd time I have been there. It was pretty obvious that they were short- staffed. You give your order at the window and pull up for the staff to bring it to you. Half of my order was left out. Didn't have time to check; the guy was gone. Went home and called. He didn't apologize or offer anything. Should have offered the item plus a free dish for my trouble! Was glad when they came to the neighborhood. Not anymore. Got to have better customer service!
Drive Thru ONLY, Chicken Fingers Were Kid Size Small and you'll have a wait fries Were hard as a BRICK. CARBONATION WAS HORRIBLE IN THE DRINKS
Food is great. Wait time not so much.
First we were asked to pull up and wait on our food. Then waited at least 30 min to get our food. When the food finally came out they took food to another car that had ordered after I had. Finally received the food after waiting forever just for chicken wings.
My chicken baker was amazing and the customer service was great
