Best bar service and awesome music venue!!
It is an odd place was there to see a band from out of town. However folks running bar and at front were friendly enough.

I enjoyed the basement of the Nick. There's a wine cellar down there. I wrote a song about it. I'm totally joking though, there's no basement at the Nick. but, they have "Birmingham Bandstand" - open mic at the Nick every Monday night. Back line provided (drums / bass & guitar amps.)
Best dive in the metro area. As in, none of that pretentious, fedora and suspenders "dive bar" bulls*t-- it is actually a hole in the wall. It's grimy, full of weirdness, and it's loud. It reminds me of my favorite ever bar back in NOLA in the late 90's, except the Nick is clean enough to do surgery in, by comparison.However, ladies, don't get bold when the bathroom line is too long and try and be cute while you pop into the guy's restroom. You WILL require counseling. This is not the place for those shenanigans.

Love this place! The dive-iest of dive bars in the very best way possible. Bartenders are cool, atmosphere is chill and the live music is great! I've never not had a good time here.
