Food was good and the servers were nice. I had the spicy chicken and waffles and chose the hottest level but it wasn’t hot at all. I do have a high spice tolerance so maybe that’s why but nonetheless it was good!
The food was fresh, hot, and absolutely divine. I had the Greek chicken and it was very tasty. All the vegetables are good. And the desserts are wonderful.
Ted's is a family run neighborhood restaurant. The food is affordable, fresh, and substantial. You won't need to eat lunch.The menu features all the usual breakfast fare but the breakfast sandwich with choice of meat and the quesadilla are my favorites. Also good are the breakfast bowls, real waffles and real pancakes. Never tried the Chicken and waffle but it looks amazing, probably enough for two. If you're feeling adventurous try the greek burger or souvlaki sandwich. All orders come with fresh fruit and grilled red potatoes.As you might imagine, Ted's is busy but owner Tasos always has time to come by for a visit. The Birmingham restaurant scene has changed over the years, but thankfully traditional family restaurants like Ted's still exist.
Ate here in March 2022 and was very impressed with the food here. Excellent grouper, best i have had at any restaurant in Alabama. Staff is not the friendliest, but the food was so good i'll give them a pass. I really liked the atmosphere here it really captures the culture of Birmingham and Alabama.
Quality food at an affordable price!
Ted's is a great Meat and Three! The veggies are the freshest and very tasty! The cafeteria style restaurant is quick and delicious and then staff are fabulous! Gotta eat at Ted's if you're anywhere close to downtown Birmingham or UAB area! We eat there at least once every week or so. Every time we have visitors come into town, Ted's is one if the first places we take them!
Ate here for lunch on 3-15-22. Great restaurant for Southern Food, Meat n Three type restaurant, the interior is old but the food is great. This restaurant really captures the aesthetic of the Birmingham area. This is a must eat in Birmingham. This place is an Alabama landmark.
I've been going to Ted's for years and it never disappoints. Their brunch is among the best I've had in Birmingham (Ted's meat omelet, southern breakfast, and the Greek burger are my top three off the brunch menu). In addition to providing excellent food, the owners Tasos and Beba go out of their way to create a warm and hospitable environment for their customers. You won't regret a trip to Ted's!
This is the best place for brunch on Saturday in Birmingham! I finally got to go this weekend and the owner Tasos and his wife made my family feel like his family.. was even his birthday and he seemed genuinely happy to be there serving guests! Our waitress Jennifer was perfect and very sweet and the food was impeccable. Everyone had exactly what they wanted and it was delicious all of my kids cleaned their plates and my omelet was unique so many yummy veggies and they even serve Bloody Mary and mimosas so that put it over the top for me I was beyond happy with every aspect of my visit and can not wait to return!
We just picked this place after checking on Google without knowing what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised by the kindness of the whole team working there. After leaving the place, the whole family was unanimous to say that we had a great time. The food was great with good variety of the southern cuisine. The owner checked on us many times and we were even given cookies before leaving. We'll definitely be back on our next visit to Birmingham.
