Don't accept coupons but get in mail all the time. Prices gone up. What happened to $5 subs?

Walked in today to inquire of they were participating in the 5.99 any footlong deal that was emailed out this morning. The guy responded "Subway hasn't had a $5 footlong in 15 years". I informed him that it was an offer on the app and an email that came saying it was 5.99 but he only laughed. I thought that was very rude. The only reason I even asked is because this location doesn't always participate in the national promotions and wanted to before I started ordering.. looking at the other reviews this location has an history of rude staff. I have attached to email promotion for reference.

Every time I go into Subway I really feel like more people should know about it. I have been in here three times in the past 3 weeks, and each time I have been served by a different person with the service has been the same. That service has been simply awesome. I have no qualms with tipping the employees because they deserve it. One lady one time even offered me fresh cookies when I had to order them and she said they came right out of the oven and let me just tell you those jokers were so soft and delicious. Each time I've ordered a different sub, but it doesn't matter they all taste great. Although I am a little frustrated with Subway and the price increase, that has nothing to do with the staff at this particular Subway. I encourage anyone who is in the Edwards lake Road area to come by and try the subway it's located on the corner of the shopping center next to McDonald's. Thank you so much to the staff and to the people that continually serve me here and put up with me.
