The food and environment were excellent however the service was subpar at best. We ordered the ahi tuna, various raw oysters and the filet mignon charred with cream spinach. Everything tasted great but unfortunately we didn’t get our cream spinach until after we finished our meal. Our server Tiffany was rude and not helpful at all; she seemed uninterested in ensuring the meal was complete or resolving the issue. The manager came out to assist but there wasn’t much to be done and he was unhelpful. We enjoyed our meal and will return but will not sit with Tiffany again.
If I could give the service at this favorite restaurant a 10 star, I would. Amazing service, and attentive staff. The baby lobster tails never disappoint, as well as the scallops, snapper, and everything I have ever ordered.We do patronize the new fine dining restaurants in town, but always return here to Ocean- so delicious.
I must admit that I expected better here. The waitress was outstanding. The place was nice, vibes amazing. Appetizers were pretty good but dinner left a lot to be desired. I probably wouldn't visit again.
We had an amazing meal. We asked Daniel to guide us through our night and he did an awesome job. Can't wait to go back.
I would love to give them 5 stars but my husband ordered the Filet Minon medium well and it was definitely well done.The sushi I ordered was aaamazing! And the ocean martini is one of the best drinks I have ever had! So if you are going to a seafood restaurant, order the seafood ?Also the Greek salad comes with fried feta on top and oh. My. God. Perfection!
It was OK, but for this price level expected better. Grouper was not that bad, salmon kind of boring, served a bit on the cold side, not much flavor. Service was slow. There was a big group ahead of us, maybe that was an issue, but hey that's not my problem. For this price level there are much better restaurants in Birmingham.
Had dinner there this weekend for my Birthday… Oysters Rockefeller fair at best…New England clam chowder.. geez . Who puts tarragon in clam chowder? Trying to be ritzy ditzy?Took lobster pot pie off menu. Bad move..Best item on menu:Baklava ice cream.. wont return.. ever.. unless its just for baklava ice cream

We had a wonderful experience at Ocean following the Van Gogh exhibit. We arrived early to our reservation, and were promptly seated 10 minutes after arrival. Superb service. Our needs were met with joyful pleasure and was overall a fabulous service experience.The food was outstanding. We started off with a beet salad and oysters, that were more delicious than we could have hoped. Our entrées were next. The trout and shrimp were delectable, savory, and masterfully crafted. Finally we finished with the crème brûlée, which was the perfect desert to finish the perfect meal. Already planning our next visit.
