Such a wonderful place. Takes you back to the olden days. I like how they kept the same old tradition, lovely to see people working there very happy, content with their jobs.Always, delicious food. They keep it interesting with rotating menus and takes you back in time.
Ordered cabbage, pork chops, Mac and cheese both was good except old pork chops, they were old and cold. Returned and ask manager did they have any fresh pork chops he replied what’s on the line is what we got. Rude!!! Guys working line rude. If I could give no stars I would..
This place is a meat and 2 or 3 staple in Birmingham, AL. The food is fantastic and is served cafeteria style. You go in, weave through the line, pick up a tray and utensils, and go through the line picking out what you want.My only issue is, I feel like I am being herded like a cow and getting rushed to pick out what I want. I feel like I am being hollered at and pushed to just get my food and leave. I get that they need to move folks through because there is such a large lunch crowd and folks have a limited amount of time but I just guess I don't like being rushed.Ultimately it just boils down to I am the one with a problem I guess. I do highly recommend it. Food is down home good country cooking and the service is great. Just don't wear your feelings on your sleeve when you go there. I always look at it as, my Grandmother was a heck of a cook and she hollered at me too so I guess it just adds more to the homely feel.

Absolutely Fantastic place to eat, very tasty food, lots of delicious choices. They serve just about anything you want. Fried Catfish was delicious, veggies were delicious as was the desserts. Highly recommend. ??
It’s time to stop patronizing establishments that don’t appreciate customers. After telling the manager (Rodney) at Niki’s West in Birmingham that my chicken was not fully cooked in the middle, he refused to replace it with a better cooked piece after I requested. Instead, he insisted that I eat something else because they don’t do replacements. How are you going to make me eat something other than what I ordered. I was polite, told him to just take it back, and reframed from causing a scene. This visit is disheartening because my family and I have been coming here for years and this has never happened. We will not be back or recommend to anybody.
Good place to eat and the server's was nice and i will be going back and taking other with me and it nice and clean inside and outside
They have permanently change their hours where they close at 5 now. My family and I enjoyed sitting down vs going through the line. We liked ordering from the menu which they are no longer offering. The menu offered a much larger selection of food that you can't get on the line. That's the meats we preferred. We were told the changes are permanent. Sadly we won't be going back.
Food was delicious and service was impeccable. One of my favorite places to eat!
If there's a better buffet please tell me about it.This place is unbelievable.
