Typically, this is a great location with great food. Yet, on this trip to this location something was off. The waitress seemed disinterested and others were helping her out with our table, even though it was just a table for two. Great food and usually a great experience. Will return and update review later. Otherwise, I would have given fewer stars.
The service is always terrible at this location and the food isn't consistent. We were there the other day and there were only a few customers. Our server was busy chatting with people at the bar so we had to flag someone else down to finally take our drink orders after sitting there for almost 15 minutes. Our salads were on tiny dessert plates and the lettuce was wilted. There was hardly no toppings on our pizzas. Don't give me any of that "be patient we are short staffed" nonsense. There were at least three waitstaff working during non peak hours and only one other table with customers.The other locations always have good service and the food is always consistent.
AVOID THIS MUSTY PLACE AT ALL COSTS. Coming from somebody who recently worked at the Inverness Mellow Mushroom. Management is absolutely terrible. I did not feel respected whatsoever. Did I forget to mention that there’s always a wait due to not having a hostess at the host stand and by the time you get seated pizza is still gonna take a hour. I love the vibe Mellow Mushroom has. But this location to be exact is downright trash. Go to slice or Davenports for better high quality pizza and nicer folks!
I have to say we had a great experience at this Mellow Mushroom. We had about 16 people in our party after a big tournament, 9 of them being children. They set upsurge tables away from everyone so we weren’t too loud and distracting, and they were quick with the food. The pizzas were easily scarfed by the kids and they have a great selection of tap beer. Our waitress was amazing, and she was very patient with us. Definitely recommend.
Would give this a 0 if I could, as that’s how much food we got over the course of about 90 minutes. The fact we had to wait 10 minutes to be acknowledged by a hostess at 5:15 — not exactly the dinner rush — should have been enough warning to make a run for it. After 30 minutes waiting for a table and another 45 being ignored after we ordered our pizzas, we asked our server for an update. That only resulted in annoyed gestures from the kitchen staff. We gave up and walked out, as the staff sarcastically wished us a good night. Who does that? Terribly run, unprofessional restaurant.
Seated quick and food was great. I think my waitress had 2 tables. I ordered a water and Coke, both mostly ice. I had to flag her down for refills. Silverware was not provided, had to ask, then got take-out plastic- for a calzone. Had to ask for parmesan and red pepper.
The food was delicious and fresh. Maria, our server, was excellent.
I am not sure if they have an entirely new staff but there service was horrible! They messed up on my appetizer and wanted to bring it after my meal I ordered and then messed up and put the wrong base on my pizza. I ended up spending 2 hrs just to get something to eat! Very poor service! And the pizza had so much cheese on it and hardly any crust! Not what I was expecting at all!
My family decided we would try Mellow Mushroom so we went to the Inverness location. We we’re told it was a 30 to 40 minute wait and we chose to wait. We were seated in about 20 minutes so that was a plus. Our waitress was friendly and immediately took our drink and appetizer order. We did have to flag her down to get extra sauce and refills. Waited a good hour after eating our appetizer before we got our pizza. I asked what was taking so long and was told there was some confusion in the kitchen. We noticed several people in their groups that came in after us seated got their pizza and was leaving before we got our pizza. The pizza is probably a 6 out of 10 and I will not be going back. I didn’t complain or blame the waitress but someone dropped the ball on our order but I do feel that a discount or the appetizer should have been taken off of our bill. We did get a thank you for being patient but that was it. I do blame the waitress for not letting us know our order was not put in and for not checking on us regularly but I still tipped. I’m just glad for those that do go to work even if sometimes it’s a bad experience but again I am one and done with Mellow Mushroom.
HORRIBLE and that’s the nicest thing I can say! We moved here from Enterprise, AL where the Mellow Mushroom had stellar service, food, and management. Maybe those responsible for this location should go there for training!
