Normally my experience at McAlister's has been very good. Until today, the sandwich on the left came from the Lakeshore location. It didn't have any bacon and I asked for white bread not wheat. The sandwich on right came from the Downtown location. It's supposed to be the Club, but what I received was 2 pieces of bread with mostly ham. I had to ask for my bacon, pickles, and there's no tomatoes.... what's going on? No more weekends for me! Stick eating there to during the week!
Fresh food and quick, friendly service. Their strawberry lemonade is out of this world!
I had the McAlisters Club and the wife had the Orange Cranberry Club. We both had potato salad as our side. Everything was great. We ate at this location before and it was great then too.
I ordered online through their app the tracking says it was near by then all of a sudden the tracking says call the store. I called the store and the manager was clueless and he tells me to call Doordarshan to see where my food is. Terrible service I will not be back. I asked for a refund and he hung up on me. ??I wish I could give no stars.
Visited this McAlister's while visiting at UAB. Its within a short walking distance from the parking garage. Food is as good as other McAlister's I have eaten at but the elements outside lacks something to be desired. The homeless seem to frequent this area around the hospital. I do not like to beat down on those who are down on their luck but to watch someone eat and drink right out of a trash can does something to your appetite.
They close at 10 o'clock on Saturdays according to Google and will literally lock their doors before 10 also if it's close to closing they want even take your order over the phone....
Very good Reuben sandwich. Good service, the only downside was the sweet tea is very sweet, but on the refill they mixed it with unsweetened and that was pretty good.
All the food is good....... But they have one of the best sandwiches would be the bacon lettuce and tomato sandwich is awesome Especially with Amber cook it....
No sense of urgency, zero courtesy, can honestly say worst experience ever at a McAlister's deli.I had to stop watching, witnessed multiple health code violations. No soap in men's restroom.Absurd operation to this extent is clearly not a bad day.
The two girls working were nice and seemed like they were probably backed up with orders, but my order took 20 minutes longer than when it should have been ready (to go order) and it was wrong when it actually was ready. Orders were sitting ready on the counter but not being called up or put on the to go shelf, when I finally was able to ask about my order it was already finished and had been sitting on the back counter. I came down while working so I really didn’t have time to wait and wait and then have the order completed wrong. I went to McAlister’s because the UAB Panera usually gets my order wrong. In the future I’ll just take my chances with Panera solely because it’s closer while I’m working.
