Great tasting food! Been a customer for years.
I usually go to this place when I travel to Birmingham UAB, its a small cozy place with authentic (I feel), Middle Eastern Food with a Jordanian flare I think, But I have to ask them again. Food is good very well done, and good service, they will cook to your order. This is an exceptional restaurant.
Awesome food great test 2 second time here an is amazing Ty
My guy let me tell you, get the Deboned Chicken $25.99 Large, Lentil, Rice, I wish they’d cut it up for you, but it’s super delicious and comes in a enormous tin foil catering special package ? thingy ? makes the best leftovers with a dab of butter. The pan is literally filled and the chicken is chargrilled to perfection! 11 x 9 x 3 pan size should be their most popular item very underrated ?
Fabulous restaurant! We always try to eat at Macario’s when we are in Birmingham. We especially love their lamb kabobs, roasted vegetables, rice and their special salads. The people we have met ( wait staff and others) are extremely courteous and helpful. Mecario’s is consistently good.
Amazing Arabian Cuisine have eaten here 4x in less than 2 weeks, it is that good ?The food is always fresh and the staff are friendly.

*Overall take:Good 4/5, I recommend-Pros:Food was tasty and well prepared.Portions were above average.Price was decent for lamb, seemed fair for other options.Wait staff was pleasant.Seating was not crowded even for dinner.-Cons:Menu items poorly described in the least amount of words. I just had to pick something because I wasn't sure what I was buying. Perhaps this is ignorance on my part, but this is part of the experience so be mindful of that. Not all ingredients of my dish was outlined so be prepared to ask questions if you have food allergies. I didn't know I was getting sweet peppers in my dish, didn't ruin anything but I would have asked for that off if I knew.
This is what you get for $36.00. A baked potato and large hommous. Wanted to try this place out since I’m back in my hometown from California, never again.
We did takeout so the food quality could conceivably been somewhat compromised by transport and reheating. All of the food was very good, though none of it struck me as being outstanding. The gyros potato was a new item that I had never seen before. Be fairly warned that it’s an immense amount of potato. It was well worth it, but two people ordering entrees and having the potato on the side was way more food than two people should reasonably eat. :). The lamb chops were good, though not quite as amazing-looking as pictured on the menu.
