I've had the chance to enjoy hibachi from 3 of their chefs now, and they are consistent in quality and excellent service! The food is delicious and the servings are plentiful. You won't be going home hungry! All of the chefs are very entertaining with their hibachi shows. Always high up on our list of date night spots!
If I could leave zero stars I would. My girlfriend and I ordered food to go. When we received the food we were very disappointed. The rice was over cooked and mushy we asked for double rice no noodles or vegetables they gave us noodles with an extra side of noodles. When I went to take the food back the manager was beyond rude! I asked if we could get it remade she refused, I asked if I could just get a refund she refused. So I cant get a refund and I cant get it remade? Okay. I told her it was fine I’ll dispute it with my bank and they could dispose the food. The manager tells me “Well next time just dont order” excuse me? Im a first time customer and I totally will NOT be coming back. That manager is going to run that business to the ground with her nasty and rude attitude.
We had an amazing meal at Kobe for my birthday. There were 6 of us and we were seated with another couple. This is only the 2nd time I have been to Kobe in the new location since the former location burned down. The ambiance at the new location is definitely lacking in comparison to the original location. We were here in mid-April and they still had Christmas lights and snowflakes hanging from the ceiling and fortune cookies were in a Halloween cauldron. The lights above our habachi table didn't work which lessened the experience. Our habachi cook was very funny and friendly. He made the whole experience completely worth the lack of care around the rest of the restaurant. He was a great cook and constantly engaged us in conversation. I am sure we will return for the occasional special occasion, but it is a sad replacement for the original location. The four stars are the cook only.
The food is delicious. The management is terrible. Ive been eating here for over 20 years at this location and the previous location that caught on fire. My last visit the manager who was taking everyone's names and numbers to wait to be seated was absolutely the rudest person I have ever met to my mother. She told us we had to wait an hour and we said that was fine. After we waited an hour my mother went up to ask about how far down we were on the list to be seated. The manager told my mother she could leave because she had already came up five times and asked about our table. My mother hadn't come up once and asked and she didn't even put our name in my sister did. The woman didn't seat anyone in the lobby for over 45 minites after 8 to 10 tables left. She made a group who had a reservation for 7pm wait until after 8pm to be seated. My mother has said she will never eat here again. I would suggest Mt. Fuji down the street if you want hibachi. They lost a six 20 year customers this night.
Good entertainment and great food
The food was very good.. Our cook was awesome and very friendly. But no one came to collect our bowls and plates from the appetizers, soup and salad. So we had to move everything to the end of the table and still nobody picked it up.. No one ever refilled our drinks. So after we ate, they brought out the cake I asked them to hold , that was very nice of them I appreciate that, but once again no one collected the plates from our entrée, so we had to work around all that stuff to try to eat the cake. There was a gratuity already on the check bc it was ten of us and I get that part BUT the service was not good enough for the 16.00 gratuity that was on my check. And the crazy thing about it all they weren't even busy, so I'm like whats the problem. I love to try new restaurants and don't mind paying for good food and service. So I say all that to say the food was good but the service was not worth 16.00 gratuity..
Tried to call to place to-go order they had a automated voice mail saying they were on lunch and to call back. It was 7pm. Came in store to place order and stood at bar for over 25 minutes without being acknowledged at all. I understand being busy but there is no excuse for not acknowledging a customer especially when all I was trying to get was soup. Never coming back even if the food is good.
drove one hour to this place in the rain to celebrate pastors birthday first to cook was being rude not speaking then when the food came out looked at it the rice was mushy and the noodles what is what is my point finger. Next After the food was not good my son asked For a cup which should have been given a drink to go this may come back with a plastic cup with nothing it,then They trust to put a tip of ten dollars on everybody ticket bottom line the food was nasty I will never vist them again, don’t use Kobe name change it .
Wow. Terrible. Been going there for years and have always loved everything about Kobe. What happened??? We had a group of 6 celebrating our birthdays. The salad was delicious as always but the soup was NOT clear. It was greasy and cloudy. The chef was nice but not effective. There was no “show” and he barely made eye contact. We had to ask for the sauces. The food had zero flavor! There was lots of it but soo bland. The lobster was overcooked. I think he lost his salt shaker and the other seasoning I’m used to tasting. The wine was warm which I informed our waiter but nothing changed on the next glass. He was really very nice but I suppose he worked with what he was given. I’m sorry to say that we will not go back.
D is an amazing cook. He gets 5 stars across the board. The manager she is right out RUDE! She will run the business in the ground if she keeps on with her attitude. Oh, yes my family and I are only there for D, he’s that good, not for the management lousy service. When you go in and pay good money for a meal and refuses you to request for a certain cook it’s just tacky. We eat here atleast every other week sometimes every week, we spend a lot of money here. Maybe it’s time to move our business else where.
