I stopped by to get a last minute cake for my daughter. The setup is truly beautiful and inviting. The staff was helpful and they gladly added her name to the cake. Before leaving, they gave me tips on how to get it home in one piece.
Went years ago with my dad who was dealing with dementia at the time. He always had such a sweet tooth and this place made his day and blew his mind. Staff was very kind and patient with us. I just remember having a great experience in alabaster and can't wait to visit again in Birmingham. My dad is no longer with us, but thank you K &J for giving us a place to make memories and enjoy an unforgettable milkshake together.
This place is INSANE!!! If you are in the Birmingham area, don’t walk, RUN!!! Try the Strawberry Lemonade cupcake. My absolute fave flavor!!
We stopped here for some milkshakes and boy did we get milkshakes! They were very gratuitous with the toppings, and the shakes tasted delicious! I got the banana pudding, my friend for the cookies and cream cheesecake milkshake (yes it came with a piece of cheesecake on top ;) ) and the regular oreo cookies and cream milkshake
K & J’s is the best possible way, that I know of that you can experience a heavenly and sinfully moment at the same time and the same place. The service was friendly and courteous. After walking to and from the Stallions game the shakes act as a meal.
K&J's has the best homemade desserts hands down. Me and my husband recently visited and ordered a slice of pound cake and ice cream. This cake just melted in our mouth, that old school pound cake like my grandmother use to make. I knew the cupcakes were delicious but this pound cake which had that crisp outer layer topped with lemon icing then very moist filling.......so delicious. I didn't know people still made cakes like that. I hate they're having to relocate to downtown Birmingham but I also understand that you have to sometimes move to where you're more accepted and supported. May your business continue to prosper and grow and bless many more palates.
We are going to miss them so much when they leave Alabaster! I was so indecisive for my daughter’s smash cake for her first birthday photos, I sent them a photo of her outfit and they ABSOLUTELY went above and beyond my expectations!! It was gorgeous and turned out so perfect for the photos! Not to mention it was so delicious, we saved what we could from the cake smash to eat ourselves lol. 10/10 would recommend this bakery, they have an incredible eye for what they do!??
