We visited the 5 Points Birmingham location and from the moment we walked the experience exceeded all expectations. The owner of the store Assem was outstanding. He treated my husband and me as though we were family and was visiting his customers. The meal was one of the best from the deviled eggs to the pulled pork and homemade Mac and cheese. We highly recommend the restaurant and will be back!
Omg the food is amazing! I ordered the catfish plate. Delicious. Mary was my server. She was so friendly and pleasant.
Good food and accommodating service. Restaurant is well spread out and spacious. Would suggest attending/greeting customers a little quicker upon entrance. Keep up the good work.
Delicious brisket and onion rings!! Love how their onion rings are HUGE (I could wear these onion rings as bracelets haha!). Great vibe and culture. Their cheese biscuits are a must try. Since visiting for the first time, I’ve added Jim N Nick’s to my favorite list of restaurants in AL! This location has difficult parking since it’s downtown but it is worth the effort for good food!!
This was the perfect place to eat at. It was very clean. Our waiter Shawn was perfect. He kept our drinks full and bread on the table. All of our food was appealing and hot. Everything was delicious and the only complaint was we wished there was one in Indianapolis that offered this southern hospitality. Thanks Shawn for making our birthday fun and special.
The fried chicken tenders were excellent and the little cheese biscuits were amazing! Leo was our server. He was helpful and friendly. We had gone to the area to try another spot, but it was Monday and virtually everything in the area was closed. We were quite happy that we ended up having lunch here.
We were looking for good barbecue and were not disappointed. Everything is fresh (no freezers!) and with the variety of meats and sauces there is something for everyone. Great sides - best collard greens anywhere!
This was my first time eating here. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. The peach tea, and cheddar biscuits were so yummy. I enjoyed the cleanliness and how roomy the building was. It doesn’t even feel like it’s on the South Side. It’s so well hidden amongst everything else around it. When you’re inside you’re not disturbed by things going on outside. We loved the bbq and the kids options. Chili cheese fries were a hit for my 4 year old.
Such a disappointing Doordash delivery from here. It was late, and my ribs were really cold, although the weather was warm. And, I ordered a dozen of the muffins. They were very undercooked, and they were just randomly tossed in the container, crushing eachother. They looked like garbage.
My server Ryan was very attentive and got everything I ordered out pretty quickly. If your in the area and wanna grab smething to eat stop here and ask for Ryan. He’ll take good care of you!
