Well, have always wanted to try Jack Brown's. Got my chance today. Funky little hole-in-the-wall bar. Thumbs-up.my kind of place. Sat at the bar. Placed my order, staff super-friendly and nice. Watched the guy next to me get the wrong burger that he ordered…...hmmm.…..not starting off well. I ordered a Hazy IPA and a burger. Beer delivered immediately...burger came out, quickly.…..wrong burger. Sent it back. While waiting and watching..saw another wrong order. Decided to cancel the burger. Paid and left. In my brief twenty minutes, I witnessed three burgers be wasted because of incompetence in the kitchen. This explains their burger prices because of the waste that this establishment is dealing with, evidently, daily. Now, if they start selling on the menu what the kitchen staff may be on, they'd probably do better in daily sales.
We both enjoyed our burgers, the Dr. Gonzo and the Chiflet. Their fries, both regular and sweet potato are on a whole other level. Somehow both super crispy and flavorful yet light and fluffy on the inside. Paired with their fry sauce they give you at the table I just couldn't get enough. The fried Oreos were a tasty way to end the meal. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and the burgers meanings, and super kind and helpful! Knowing next to nothing about this place going in, the vibe was a little intense for me but this kind of place typically isn't my scene. I really enjoyed myself though and am looking forward to my next visit here!
Coke products. Hell of a good burger. Flat-grilled, but not bad at all. They make good food, I just wish that their soda wasn't a canned thing. Shows how small the business is, which I can understand. Still, really good stuff. Check it out, you'll be surprised at the quality of the food. Speed of service on the other hand... Not so much.
Small place but has that charm and appeal I like. A little hole in the wall that has a great atmosphere. I ordered the shocker med with no bun and no fries. I definitely wanted the fries but I have to watch my carb intake (gestational diabetes). That burger is literally on fire, made my whole mouth one big fire pit but I loved it! The tenderness, juiciness and flavors were outstanding! My husband ordered the Chiflet burger and he also agree the burger was outstanding! The best burger place we have found in Birmingham so far.
Went there for the first time today. Now I should say for the last time. My burger was cold...after waiting 30 minutes for it. And, it was undercooked. I asked for the manager. The manager came to my table and told me I didn't know what medium well was. He said medium well was cool pink in the middle. I told him my burger was medium rare at best. The manager shook his head and walked away. I will not go back!
Excellent beer selection! The burgers are unique and original and delicious! I had the Greg Brady and it was amazing! Daniel the bar tender/server was very helpful with explaining the burgers and beer types. I will be back!
The burgers are great ?. They truly have more varieties of beer ? than I have ever seen. The fries ? were incredible. Definitely a must go to. Service was also great.
Great place. Had the Elvis burger and it was wonderful. Non typical toppings work well.
Greg Brady burger was ???! Fries are really good too, and I'm not big on french fries.As others have mentioned, the burger is a bit small, but I'll take a smaller, delicious burger over a bigger, average burger any day of the week.The place itself isn't as big as I thought it would be, more of a hole in the wall type of place. Best burger I've had in Bham!I will UNDOUBTEDLY be back.
