very very disappointed. menu... blah. over priced.better food options at better prices elsewhere. new location, no atmosphere. will not be going back

We went there the other day to celebrate my wife’s best friend’s birthday.Prior to that we have been to this restaurant 5-6 times including the old location and we had pretty bad experiences including we didn’t get our appetizers until an hour after we ordered and didn’t receive main dishes until 2&1/2 hours after we ordered them. And this was way before COVID so I know they had plenty of staff. This time, the service was good - all the dishes came out in timely manner. And the food was good as always - not sure it’s worth the price they charge but it is not bad at all.I had scallops with assorted vegetables on bed of risotto. I like my risotto aldente but it was bit undercooked - had hard core to it. And we ordered all the appetizers that they had on menu and there are some dishes that were really good.I just think Chef Hastings can do better.

The food was delicious and worth the time and money. People at our table of six ordered the Noodle Bowl, Chicken Roulade, and Grouper. The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable, but was not as attentive as you would expect in a fine dining setting. Perhaps, the night we were there the restaurant was short staffed? The location is excellent. I will return the next time I am in Birmingham.

20 years eating here. Favorite restaurant until tonight. Food was great but you can get good food lots of places. Forced to order our whole meal at once. Felt so forced. Last time we did that at oven bird our meal was over in 36 minutes. Again- chef really has to have it all to make sure it plates the way he likes. No way. Then- we had to wait for an entree. All that and we had to wait.

Hot and Hot Fish Club. Where do I start? Simply put this place is delicious and worth every cent. I truly enjoy everything from their well thought of drinks to their savor shareable. The main course never disappoints. I definitely recommend you get reservations and bring the people you love here, cause it’s going to be memorable evening.

Hunter and Tyler were excellent. I had a great time. The only feedback is don't order the tuna. It is served with the fatty tissue you see on chicken that rips the meat apart? Get the snapper instead. Easy better choice. Beet salad was nice too. Perfect crunch.

We were quickly seated, and the waiter assistant immediately watered our table. Audie, our server, kindly greeted us and began to speak to us about the drink options. We informed him we didn’t drink so pointed out a wonderful nonalcoholic cocktail for us. Upon his return with our drinks, he went through the featured items on the menu in a kind, patient, and informative manner. We started with the biscuits that showed up almost as soon as we ordered them followed by the cauliflower soup and bone marrow with short rib. The bone marrow stole the show for the starters. Perfectly timed our entrees coming out. I had the duck duo over a sweet potato hash, and she had the rabbit roulade. Both were wonderful and we finished with the bread pudding and chocolate souffle. In between course Audie would properly clear us never back handing us and the WA would clean all crumbs and debris from the table the second our server walked away. Even when serving our food and drink there was such a level of detail orientation that the drinks were served with garnishes or handles in the case of coffee were at the 4 o’clock position. The quality of fine dining service was reminiscent of Highlands Bar and Grill. I honestly questioned if this level of service still existed in Birmingham. So, from the food, service, ambience, and the experience were beyond impressive. We cannot wait to eat at Hot & Hot again.

Have enjoyed Hot and Hot for years. Decided to do an early Valentine's dinner last Friday. Service and atmosphere was great. My tuna was very good, but my wife's steak was well below expectations. The meat was certainly not a prime cut. I tasted a piece thinking surely not. However it was as she described. A $40+ dollar steak dish should but something to remember, not something to forget. Stick to the fish!

Great food and excellent service!

Wow was great. A fine dining experience with great service in Birmingham AL
