We’ve been to the trussville location, but this experience was superior in every way. We were greeted and sat quickly, our server Mariah was personable and quick to offer her choice favorites (which paid off for both my husband and I), our drinks were managed throughout the meal, the food was quick, hot and well prepared, quite literally everything exceeded our expectations. We were so thrilled with the service we stopped to speak with the manager Rob on our way out. The service ran like a well oiled machine despite being short staffed and having large parties in house. Could not praise this location more highly.

The Birmingham location is just as good as the Trussville location. Equally outstanding food and service! The seafood bisque is amazing! My husband and I both ordered the oyster sampler and the asparagus. Highly recommend coming here!
Love love love this placeVisiting Birmingham for the first time and exploring all the seafood places and this place is definitely one of my favorite. I had a whole dozen of raw oysters by myself they were the biggest oysters I have ever seen and they tasted so good, the seafood dip was amazing and the kids' popcorn shrimp was good. Hanna our server made the experience more than GREAT. She is super nice and very attentive.
Excellent dinner and service (Aaron). I first ate at Half Shell in Biloxi and have been wanting to go back. I recently found out there are a couple of locations in/near Birmingham. There will also be a new location in Pelham around the end of May (Campus 124 complex). A truly great place for date night. We had crawfish cornbread, charbroiled oysters, seafood stuffed portobello, and Caesar salad with voodoo shrimp. All were very good.
It was me and my best friend’s first time at this restaurant. We had an excellent vintage of champagne and one and a half dozen authentic, REAL southern oysters. Hannah was an amazing host and waiter. We did come early without a reservation, but we were accommodated, and we very much enjoyed our experience. We recommend either coming early and/or making a reservation. We also recommend expecting an exceptional meal. It was a great evening!
