My margarita was great, my cheese dip was great. However my food not great, at all. My boyfriend ordered the chimichanga. It was soggy and the beef had absolutely no flavor at all. I decided to order chicken fingers with cheese dip because I haven’t had it since I moved here. They brought me chickens tenders from a frozen bag, over cooked and with no cheese dip. The rice was dry, no flavor. I will not return and will not recommend to anyone. Find a place like El Patron in Tuscaloosa.
Me and my gf decided to try and find a nice local Mexican restaurant that was like the one we lovedIn Tuscaloosa. I moved to alabama from New Orleans in 2017 and it amazes me how many people on here, say that the food is amazing. My beef chimichanga had no flavor, and wasn’t even cooked all the way. The meet inside was dry, and the beans weren’t bad, but they also weren’t that great. I love Mexican food that has flavor, and you can usually tell a lot about a restaurant by the way they marinate and season their steaks, and I wouldn’t even want to try a steak from this place. It was so bad, we were wanting to leave and not pay a dime for meal, because it was that bad. I never leave a place without leaving a tip, and last night I paid my bill and left no tip, because I didn’t even want to pay for that nasty food. The sad part was, we were asked multiple times how the food was, and we said not good, and our waiter just said ok thank you. When I went to pay, I was asked again, how was everything. I told them it was alright, and no one stopped to question why I said it was just alright. I know the affects of someone leaving and not paying, which is why I paid, but I felt so bad paying money for that type of food quality, which was poor to say the least. I would hope that the owners seriously look into their food, and figure out how to make it better, and not think it’s all good, when it clearly isn’t.
This is the best Mexican restaurant you will ever eat at. The food is always hot when it is served. The employees always smile and greet you like your family. You can’t beat the waiters they are fast and always never let your drinks get low. Come on in to habaneros in Trussville Alabama you will never leave disappointed. If I could give them 10 stars I would. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I don't get to Habaneros as much as I used to. This was my father in laws favorite restaurant. He passed away a few years ago but I still have fond memories of all of us eating here together. They make you feel welcome and like you are home even though you are out to eat. The food was always great and you'll never run out of sweet tea.
As always Fajitas are excellent. Probably the best Mexican in the area. Friendly service. Super fast.
We loved the service, and the food was great as always. First or second time after the pandemic we dine in. Most times we only buy take out. Good prices too.
Service was friendly and very fast. I ordered a taco salad and it was ok. Wasn't too impressed with the food but that's my first time.

Did a great job decorating the place! The food was really good and super fast in getting it out! Excellent customer service checking in regularly to fill drinks and ask if we needed anything else.
